A thought for today

It speaks of His bride

Isa 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
Isa 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
Isa 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

This Word of God was indeed prophetic of the Lord Jesus Christ yet it also speaks of His bride the church.
It is our calling to build His church and free those who are bound.

Isa 45:14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

Egypt (the world and it’s system) and others who followed it’s ways will come to the bride. As they were drawn to Jesus Himself so shall they be drawn to a church full of the Spirit of the Living God. Surely they will see God in His church and come searching for freedom, for healing and deliverance.

Isa 45:15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

Truly He is a God who hideth Himself. He now lives in the bride, His beloved, His church. When the lost begin to see God in us they will come. Not drawn by programs, nor words of eloquence but drawn by the love, the power and the manifest presence of the Living God who dwells in every willing heart.
Selah.

Isa 45:24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

Satan has in fact a plan against the saints of the Most High which is to wear them out. What is meant by this phrase, "wear out"? It has in it the idea of reducing a little this minute, then reducing a little further the next minute. Reduce a little today, reduce a little tomorrow. Thus the wearing out is almost imperceptible; nevertheless, it is a reducing. The wearing down is scarcely an activity of which one is conscious, yet the end result is that there is nothing left. He will take away your prayer life little by little, and cause you to trust God less and less and yourself more and more, a little at a time. He will make you feel somewhat cleverer than before. Step by step, you are misled to rely more on your own gift, and step by step your heart is enticed away from the Lord. Now, were Satan to strike the children of God with great force at one time, they would know exactly how to resist the enemy since they would immediately recognize his work. He uses the method of gradualism to wear down the people of God.

The other prodigal- the older brother

The other prodigal- the older brother

Luk 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Luk 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Luk 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Luk 15:25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
Luk 15:26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
Luk 15:27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
Luk 15:28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
Luk 15:29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
Luk 15:30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

The prodigal had returned home and the Father rejoiced yet all was not well. The other brother should have rejoiced and yet all he felt was bitterness. Hadn’t he always served the Father? Wasn’t he the one to deserve special treatment?
His very attitude had betrayed his problem. He was living with the Father enjoying His provision and His fellowship and yet he never understood who he was to the Father. He never really comprehended the Father’s love for himself nor how far the Father was willing to go to care for him. The fatted calf was always his, the love was always his and yet he seemed oblivious to the fact.
To him service was what mattered but he never really knew his Father.
The other brother had physically left his home but the older brother never really knew what it was that was his in the Father’s presence; in his own way he had left a long time ago.
How many today seem to follow the younger brother? But sadly how many seem to follow the older brother demonstrating bitterness, resentment., legalistic attitudes and a complete disdain for the Father’s heart?
These are the one who do the works, live in church but are in great danger of hearing the worst possible words – “I never knew you”.
Let us guard our hearts lest we to began to believe that the grace given to us; the status as God’s own children become stale and taken for granted. The fatted calf is our’s my friend but more importantly the Father’s heart is ours. Selah.

rejected thy confidences

Jer 2:37 Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.
This was a time of great hardship in Israel as the judgment of the Lord God Himself fell upon them. The Lord had rejected their confidences; the used to lean on Him bit now they leaned upon Egypt (the world) for their safety. They used to worship at His alter and now they bowed before tree and stone. Even then if they had but heeded His warning and fell upon their faces before Him they could have found mercy.
Jer 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
The have committed two evils.
First the turned away from the Lord who is the source of all life. They rejected the True Fount of Living waters and began to exalt themselves through their own efforts. Sadly the work of man without God cannot, will not contain life.
Sadly much the same can be said of many a religious soul today, Putting their faith in money, job or anything but the Lord is but building a dry lifeless cistern. Where can we go but to Him where we can freely drink the waters of life? Where else can we find true peace?
Let us drink this Living Water, selah.

Is any thing too hard for the LORD?

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

In spite of what was physically impossible, in spite of waiting for what seemed like an eternity was God going to fall short in fulfilling His promise to Abraham?
God was indeed waiting until it was completely beyond Abraham's strength and ability the He alone would be glorified.
Does this sound at all familiar?
Are you waiting on His promise wondering when you will see it come to pass?
Do not loose hope my friend as our Father is ever faithful to His Word and He is simply bringing you to the end of yourself.
Is He ever to late? Does His provision ever fail? The answer to these questions is no. If we commit to believing Him in spite of our circumstance we will see His promise come to pass in our lives. He is ready, He is willing and He is able. Selah.

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present
faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Jud 1:25
To the only wise God our Saviour,
be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

You my friend are kept by the power of God through fait

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

You my friend are kept by the power of God through faith. There is no external force which can prevail against that power. We are called to believe, to trust, to have confidence in, to rely on and to rest in His ability to bring us into that inheritance.
Are you going through trails?
Though they seem overwhelming if we look close enough we can see His hand molding us, shaping us and strengthening us in this time of testing. If we but open our heart we will come to know that even in our darkest hour He is keeping us. Everything in the life of a believer has a purpose and every circumstance can be turned to His glory is we but yield our heart.
Faith untested will not grow. But faith held tightly in the worst of times produces the greatest miracles whether they be circumstantial or a transformation of our heart.
The Hebrew children did not enter His rest because they had more faith in their problems then they did in their God.
Let us be people who boldly dare to believe our God. Let us be people of faith.

Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

The boldness with which we are to enter in is not, first of all, a conscious feeling of confidence; it is the objective and God given right and liberty of entrance of which the blood assures us. The measure of our boldness is the worth God attaches to the blood of Jesus. As our heart reposes it's confidence on that simple faith, the feeling of confidence and joy on our part will come too, and our entrance will be amid songs of praise and gladness.

The blood of Jesus
The life is the blood. As the value of this life, so the value of the blood. In Christ was the life of God; infinite as God is the life and power of that blood. In Christ there was the life of man in it's perfection; in His humility, and obedience to the Father, and self sacrifice that made Him unspeakably pleasing to the Father. That blood of Jesus, God and man, poured out in a death, that was a perfect fulfillment of God's will, and a perfect victory over the temptations of sin and self, effected an everlasting atonement for sin, and put it forever out of the way, destroying death and he that had the power of it.

And if your heart condemn you, if coldness or unbelief appear to make a real entrance impossible, rest not till you believe and prove to the full power of the blood indeed to bring you nigh. Having the boldness by the blood of Jesus, - what then- let us draw nigh!

Are you your rbtoehr keeper?

These are some of the heaviest Words I have read in God's Word. They are a strong wake up call for all who dare to read them. Who has God placed on your path? Have you told them about the way of grace and mercy? Or have you silently watched them slide towards a Christ-less eternity? Selah

Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

God has in Christ given us access to the secret place of His dwelling, to the inner sanctuary of His presence and His heart; no wander the first thing He asks is, as He calls us unto Him, is the heart- a true heart; our innermost being must in truth be yielded to Him, true to Him.

The invitation comes: Let us draw near with a true heart.
Let no one hold back for fear my heart is not true. There is no way to obtain a true heart but by acting it. God has given you as His child a new heart- a wonderful gift, if you but knew it.

Even as Christ said to the man with the withered hand, Stand forth, He calls you from His throne in heaven, rise, come and enter with a true heart. As you hesitate and look within to find if the heart is true, and in vain do what is needed to make it true, He calls again, Stretch forth thy hand.
Stretch forth, reach out that withered heart of thine, that has been so cherishing it's own impotence, stretch forth and it will be made whole. Yes in the very act of obeying the call to enter in, it will prove itself a true heart. A heart ready to obey and trust it's blessed Lord. A heart ready to give up all and find it's life in the secret of His presence.

Andrew Murray

Let us enter into the inner sanctuary of God's love, and the Spirit will enter the inner sanctuary of our love, into our heart.
Let us draw near with a heart of true longing, ready, utterly given up to desire and to receive the blessing.

Thought to Apply:

One who uses the Bible as his guide never loses their sense of direction.
sourse unknown

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

In Abel we see how faith makes a path from death to life. In Enoch how faith conquers death, In Noah how faith saves others from death by the work it does for them. The moment the entrance to the Holiest through the blood has been set open to us, we were called to the work of love.

Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

If with Abel we have drawn nigh to God, in the death of Christ and the death to self- this is the root of the tree; if with Enoch we have given ourselves to a walk with God , in His presence and good pleasure- this is the tree growing from the root; let us, with Noah, do the work of faith, that can bless and save those around us- this is the fruit of the tree.

Soul! The God who redeemed thee when an enemy, with the blood of His Son- what thinkest thou?Would He not be willing to take thee to His heart? He who raised Jesus , when He died under the curse of thy sins, from the death of the grave to the throne of His glory, would He not be able to take thee too, and give the a place within the veil? Believe it.
He longs to do it; He is able to do it. His home and His heart have room for thee even now.
Let us draw near with the fullness of faith.

In the fullness of faith, not of thought.
What God is about to do to you is supernatural, above what you can think. It is a love that passes knowledge that is going to take possession.God is the incomprehensible One. The Holy Spirit is the secret, incomprehensible working and presence of God. Do not seek to understand everything. Draw nigh- it never says with a clear head but with a true heart. Rest upon God to do for you far more than you understand.

In the fullness of faith not the fullness of feeling.
When you come, and, gaze into the opened Holiest of all, hear the Voice of Him that dwells between the Cherubim call for you to come in;and as you gaze, long indeed to enter and to dwell there, the word comes again , Draw nigh with a true heart.
Your answer is yes Lord with my whole heart, with the new heart Thous hast Thyself have given me. You make surrender of yourself, to live only and always in His presence and for His service.

Great encouragement, thanks for posting it.

Great encouragement, thanks for posting it.

The pleasure is all mine my friend!

You have accepted what He offers. You have given what He asks. You believe that the great High Priest over the house takes possession of your inner life and brings you before God.
And yet you wonder, you feel so little changed. You feel like the old self you were. Now is the time to listen to the voice- In fullness of Faith, not of feeling!
Look to God who is able to do above all we ask or think.
Trust His power.
Look to Jesus on the throne, living there to bring you in.
Claim the Spirit of the exalted One as His Pentecostal gift.
Remember these are all divine, spiritual mysteries of grace, to be revealed in you. Apart from feeling, without feeling, in fullness of faith, in bare naked faith that honors God enter in.
Reckon yourself indeed alive to God in Christ Jesus, taken into His presence, His love, His very heart.

Hold Fast

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Our profession, our confession to the Lordship of Jesus Christ is a powerful thing for His Lordship encompasses every aspect. every detail of our existence.
He is so faithful, He is so strong, He is so willing, we must simply hold fast.

Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Profess, Profession

B. Noun.
homologia (G3671), akin to A, No. 2, "confession," is translated "profession" and "professed" in the KJV only. See CONFESS.

Let the words of our mouths be always a confession of faith in Him and His abilities in our lives.
Hold fast. Selah.

There was and old say " If God said it then I believe it."
Well then that saying was changed to.

" If God said it, it dosen't matter if I believe it or not"

" Now my thought is if your not sure what God's word say's then take it up with Him."
