2 Peter 1:12-15King James Version (KJV)12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

[h=1]New European Version[/h]12 Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though you know them and are established in the truth which is with you. 13 And I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance. 14 Knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle comes swiftly, even as our Lord Jesus Christ indicated to me. 15 Yes, I will give diligence that at every time you may be able after my death to call these things to remembrance.

12 It is important for us to remember that we are His andwho He is. The world and Satan wants us to doubt our faith so we do not grow infaith or do works by faith because of our doubt. Truth is established and isthe Word of God and scripture.

13 There are things we would like to o before we die but wehave to understand we can only do these things if the lord wills us. Paulunderstood this when he wants to visit the church at Rome. Peter here understands that not allthings he wants to do are the things the Lord wills him to do. There are someof us who are called to keep the church in line by sharing the word, Peter wascalled to do this and knew it was his calling until the Lord called him home.Our callings may change as God leads us to other areas or they may not but wenever retire on earth from serving God.

14 We as believers need to be aware that we will die but notmiss what the Lord has for us now because we are focused solely on getting toheaven. To many times we can focus too much on where we will end up and losefocus on where He wants us.

15 We should leave what the Lord calls us to do with havingsomeone take it up not have a church fall apart because of leaving if we havefollowed Him in service the church will be good as long as they have learnedfrom us to follow God. We should train up the next generation on how to beleaders.
