Thank you for your encouraging words. Glory to God! I do not hear many people these days say the things that you say. It is a very sad reality, though, although it is the truth, that far too many people are believing the lies and not the truth, and if they do not change, and if they do not repent of their sins, and if they continue in disobedience to God, God says they will not inherit eternal life, but he will say to them, "I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness." So we must fan the flame of the truth of what God's word actually teaches, and keep refuting the lies of the enemy, and pray for blinded eyes to be opened to the truth before it is too late. Thank you for speaking the truth amid all the lies. We need truth tellers who are sharing and teaching what the Scriptures teach in their appropriate context.

Anyone who is working for their salvation is under the law. You can only get out from under the law by having faith in Jesus Christ.

I have not read all that is written here; however, I have read enough to see that many do not really have a good understanding of the importance of Numbers on The Scriptures, or what They tell The Reader.
I highly suggest that any who are truly desiring to understand the Number In Scripture; read That Book, by E.W.Bullinger. That Book will certainly wake up MANY!

The confusion here comes from treating “works of the law” (Torah/legalism) and “obedience to Christ” (faithful response) as the same thing — and they’re not.

Romans 3:20 is 100% true: No one is justified by works of the law — meaning rituals, circumcision, temple ordinances, etc.

But that doesn’t mean obedience is irrelevant.

Why would God anoint 144,000 Jews to evangelize the world if it was not for the Jews?

1. Hebrews 8:13 says obsolete — not “still valid.”

Curtis, you just confused the function of the law with the covenant of the law.

Yes — the law exposes sin.
Yes — it convicts the unbeliever.
But that does not mean the Mosaic covenant is still in effect.

You're quoting Romans 3:20, but ignoring what Paul says just a few verses later:

Romans 3:21 — “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed…”

Let me spell it out:
The law still convicts the sinner.
But the Mosaic covenant is dead. Fulfilled. Buried.

“Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” — Romans 10:4

And your “Heaven and Earth” argument? It collapses under its own weight.

“Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle will pass from the Law…” — Matthew 5:18

Jesus wasn’t saying the Mosaic covenant would live forever. He was saying it would not fail — it would be fulfilled perfectly. And He did that at the cross:
“It is finished.” — John 19:30
“Having canceled the record of debt… He set it aside, nailing it to the cross.” — Colossians 2:14
“A change in priesthood means a change in law.” — Hebrews 7:12
“By calling this covenant ‘new,’ He made the first one obsolete.” — Hebrews 8:13

So let’s be clear:

The law still convicts, but the covenant of law is dead.
Unbelievers are judged by the law they rejected, not preserved by it.
And Jews who still cling to Moses are not "under God's special covenant" — they are under a curse (Gal. 3:10).

Your logic is like saying the Old Covenant is still active because people still sin.
That’s like trying to enter a locked building with a key that was changed 2,000 years ago.

Christ fulfilled the law.
The cross accomplished it.
The covenant was replaced.
Stop trying to resurrect what God declared finished.

The Mosaic covenant was the key — but the lock changed at the cross.
Christ fulfilled the law, replaced the covenant, and handed out new keys:

“This cup is the new covenant in my blood.” — Luke 22:20

Since the Jews rejected Jesus as their messiah God has blinded them for a time until the fullness of the gentiles have come in, then God will remove their blindness and turn his attention towards them which happens Turing the great tribulation period.

Rom 11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

The book of Daniel foretells of a time called Jacob’s trouble in the 70 weeks (7 years) of Daniel. Jacob name was changed by God to Israel which means the seven years of tribulations is Israel trouble in which God dealing once again forwards Israel his elect. Why would God anoint 144,000 Jews to evangelize the world if it was not for the Jews?
