What urks me most about prosperity teaching is all the disrespect to God. Testing God / claiming and such is twisting God's arm / being disrespectful.

It is a no brainer that God wants us to prosper. But it should also be a no brainer for us that prosperity God wants is spiritual and carnal blessings be limited to His will for our lives. He has planned the path we should walk on from before we were born. Our financial / carnal blessings are all directly related to His will. Not our ability to believe the unseen is seen.

It takes faith the size of a teeny tiny mustard seed to move a mountain. It hence takes faith the size of an atom for God to print paper money.

The prosperity message as preached is 100% true......to the OT Jews imho. Jews needed sweet promises to counter the wrath of the laws. Example: Don't tithe = God will curse you. Tithe = God will open windows of heaven. The Jew walking through the desert needed to be told Israel was a land of milk and honey or else he would not have walked through it.

Now a Christian, should tithe and walk through the desert expecting nothing in return. We are not Jews. We are not super Jews. We should 'love' God.

Jesus's faith was complete. If He failed, the lack would not have been faith in God. It would have been a wavering on His dedication / devotion to God and ...us. As He said, He could have called down a legion of angels from heaven at any time.

Likewise a Christian's faith is 'complete' when we receive a revelation of Jesus being Lord from the Holy Spirit 1 Cor 12:3. As Peter did in Matt 16:16-17.

Jews needed faith in God being good. Because Rom 9 is crystal clear that God could be...evil. God can do anything. Christians who grasp the cross and have had a revelation of Jesus are urged to grasp the extent of God's goodness and love Eph 3:18. We should have complete faith, trust and belief in God being good, despite what we are going through. As Abraham did. As Job did. Having faith that God is all powerful is a given for anyone with a working Rom 1:20. Hardly a feat to believe / have faith that God can do a miracle.

I noticed Bendito you did not address the scripture I presented. LOL wonder why? I have no problem with these men brother,just remember to look at them as only men! Many look to worship them almost!! LOL ( Acts 10:24-26!!) As if they have an answer the Lord cannot tell you as well. I have learned to test what I believe the Lord has told me.( 1 John 4:1) Some take a verse,here and there, no where close to being in context and call it the gospel.It feels good to be a little god,which is what they both teach and believe. To say how weak some are because they do not have the same faith as I do,brings great light upon those who would preach such falsehood.( Gal 1:6-9) the only place, here where a double curse falls upon those who preach another gospel. verse 8-9 Remember what Jesus preached bro?? The fact of the matter is 'The justified shall live by faith' Faith for all your needs and yes! your wants too.. Your bible is a book of all the articles of covenant with our God. You could look at it the way you do your union contract book...If you see something in your union contract that is not being honored how do you approach the problem? Like a servant? NOT! You jump up and down and shout till things are corrected.....
Now let me give you an example of one man challenging God and God didn't get upset? Look...

You have a covenant with God, a more perfect covenant, and you have a perfect right to challenge God too, according to covenant. I just gave you precedent....God expects you to know your covenant, to live in and by it...He may challenge you to use it and to call Him on a point...More often though it strengthens you to know your covenant and put it before God as a reminder to Him of His Words..ISAIAH 43:26 2 Chron. 1:9

REMINDING GOD
However, after praising again and again, you still may have not received what you prayed for. You ask God again, "Why is this so?" You then find out that after you have faith, you must not only praise, but also must remind God. As the Lord said in Isaiah, "Put Me in remembrance" (43:26). Was he saying that God was letting him down? No. Jesus said that the world hated him and would hate us too.. "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." -John 15:18,19

Paul was experiencing all this, not because he was in sin, not because his faith was absent or weak...but because he was doing and living what he saw Jesus do....

When your mother gave birth to you, weren't you a little human? He's mentioned it but we're not going there so for us its irrelevant. Hell is part of the curse and not for us...We are a covenant people, a seeding and reaping people....That's what our focus should be...Not sin consciousness but life consciousness.

Brother, I see a preachers job as to preaching to the lost not just the saved,as Jesus came in this world to save the sinners not for the righteous who dont need saving.
Its strike me as a very selfish statement to say "we are not going there so its irrelevant" do you not care for the lost that are headed there, should we not warn them every chance we get, I think its very relevant. Jesus talked about Hell very often in the NT.

Pleasure materialism are things that make people forget about Jesus, more people find Jesus when they are broken then they do when they are living a lavish lifestyle of riches. Blessings comes in forms of other things then materialism. a blessing is when you down and out and maybe in Jail and get saved Praise the LORD , not when you have a big house and are prideful and forget Jesus. Blessing comes in every form for Gods children

Selfish.....Hmmmm The word hell was mentioned 23 times by Jesus in the New Covenant....Of those 23 times, how many times did Jesus tell a person/persons that they were going to hell if they died today? Not once... How many times did He say someone was a heathen, or the like? Not once...I was in sales many years ago and I learned that instead of telling a person about all the flaws of the product he owned, you want to show him yours and how wonderful it is...Let the person decide how bad his own choice is/was...THAT'S what Jesus did! He mentioned hell but He did not preach on hell....I suggest you check it out?

Relief for the oppressed and the best news of all...Hey people...God is not mad at you anymore!! The war is over. Come in come in and know the Father! I am the door...come in through the door.

Copeland teaches total prosperity of which money is the least... Healing, deliverance from sin, and everything good is part of prosperity...Why are you focusing on material things? How will you escape the sentence of hell? - Did Jesus not say that?
Vipers? Serpents? Sons of hell? Sounds kind of like being called a heathen to me. - Did Jesus not say that?

Matt 5:22; "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.

Ok There are two examples I missed only two since you used the same one from different disciples.... The last one does not say anyone is going to hell, it says they will be in danger of hell. And of course he did ask..."if you continue on your chosen course, how can you avoid hell...so that makes three?

Still...It is as I said...Jesus' main thrust was always the good news, 'look what God has for you. Come and take it.'

Copeland lives a life of complete and utter materialism, his whole focus is on it. If you are ok with that great, but does not Jesus warn of such lifestyles, you can judge a person by his fruits you should check out some true teachers like Randy Alocrn and John Piper who live what they preach. best of luck to you for some have eyes yet can not see, some have ears yet can not hear.
