May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdomNow, at no time did I ask god to be his human ashtray, or to prove how weak I was and how strong he was.
Our loving Father doesn't put challenges on our shoulders to burden us or to prove His might. He wants us to learn to lean on Him and trust Him and develop our relationship with Him.Now, at no time did I ask god to be his human ashtray, or to prove how weak I was and how strong he was.
He doesn't? That is your reality. Our loving Father doesn't put challenges on our shoulders to burden us or to prove His might. He wants us to learn to lean on Him and trust Him and develop our relationship with Him.
To the point it wears your down and causes great grief? It seems like a twisted hobby for him. No thank you here. Our loving Father doesn't put challenges on our shoulders to burden us or to prove His might. He wants us to learn to lean on Him and trust Him and develop our relationship with Him.
Your reality and my reality of the lord are different. I know one thing, the lord arranges things in such a way that they are difficult to explain. His ways are very nuanced and clandestine. I have also found that there is no such thing as a coincidence and he knows what you are going to think at any precise time as he matches things up in coincidence. I don't believe in "Satan" so that only leaves the almighty one.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
Just curious, why would you say that?
And could you enlighten someone like me to understand that better?

I've been chronically ill for four presidential terms so I know about being worn down and to suffer loss. This is not our forever home, it's a training ground. The greatest man ever born of a woman wound up imprisoned and eventually beheaded. MT 11:11To the point it wears your down and causes great grief? It seems like a twisted hobby for him. yin and yang, god and the devil are just the frame work of the person pulling the levers. Whatever it is.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
When I talk about accepting the fact that Satan is real, doesn't mean that I accept him as something that I want to receive. I don't.
Jesus stated that he saw Satan fall from Heaven. Jesus is acknowledging that Satan is real and that he has fallen, and is a fallen angel. We have to accept what Jesus said
Sorry to hear that you are ill, I don't wish that on anyone. It did come to mind that life as we know it is a training ground. Natively it is an extreme experience with a lot of heartache. I think things could of have been thought out a little less crudely.I've been chronically ill for four presidential terms so I know about being worn down and to suffer loss. Like navy seal training which is very tough for a reason, God prepares us for our forever home by placing obstacles that without relying on Him would be insurmountable. Yes satan exists and was created by God who allows him (for a time with restraints) to place obstacles in our path.
May this world's challenges/obstacles transform us into loving and compassionate believers in Jesus.

COL 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. What problem do you think god has with success and joy?
I have to admit I have thoughts some times like: "Really God? Childhood cancer?". I'm also grumpy on days where my heath is beating me up particularly hard. Ultimately we have to trust that the Creator knows what's best for us.I think things could of have been thought out a little less crudely.

God is all about joy and love. We are being taught through this worldly experience to seek joy and love where it lasts forever not in temporary/ephemeral things down here. You often see love stories where the rich man hides his wealth to find a woman who loves him for him not for his money. God is infinitely rich in love and in this world He is selecting those who love Him by partially hiding Himself and presenting worldly alternatives to His love.
If God (who is Love) instantly showed everyone exactly how wonderful life in his presence will be and how dreadful life completely separated from Him will be, then everyone would "choose" heaven. That's a self serving choice and rebellion by some would eventually follow as seen by humans and angels in Genesis. This tempting and challenging world is how the everlasting love story begins for those who believe His promises and choose Him over the world.
