[Matthew 28:19 KJV] "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"
[Mark 16:16 KJV] "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." ********** Jesus was sending the apostles to baptize.
[1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV] "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." ********* This commandment to baptize all nations doesn't apply to Paul seeing he wasn't sent to baptize. We aren't given the commandment to baptize all nations either.

Well, this one’s different in a matter of speaking. I’m still curious. Since no questions are being asked, I assume it’s meant for personal interpretation based on your observations of what Paul said in this single verse to the church in Corinth. My curiosity leads me to wonder if you know the context behind why Paul said what he did to the church in Corinth in that verse?

The Corinthians were placing authority on others than Paul who later would say to follow him.

In what way were they placing "authority" on others rather than Paul?

[2 Corinthians 12:11 KJV] "I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing." *********** Paul had to defend his apostleship

And that correlates with the subject of Baptism how? Keeping in mind that it's against the backdrop of the two verses you were using in your initial post which were dealing with the subject of Baptism being mentioned by Christ that it be done, and Paul saying his purpose was to preach the Gospel and not for Baptizing?

They were following authority based on their baptisms
As far as the post, Jesus commanded only the apostles to go to the nations. Jesus sent them to water baptize, not Paul

Furthermore Paul was saying he was glad he didnt baptize any more than he did because he wasnt sent to water baptize

Yes, well said. Their mistake was focusing on who they were following, which is why Paul mentioned the few he had baptized—to prevent any prideful emphasis on who baptized who, from overshadowing the very Gospel he was sent preach. The greater importance lies in the Gospel itself, not the act of baptizing, though baptism should still be done as a sign of obedience.

However, it was not just the Apostles that were to do the Baptizing, for the succeeding verse in Matthew is clear that as they were commanded, so should they teach others to do.

thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius... And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any

I believe He baptized with water when He was lead to do so by the Spirit of the Lord

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Many do what they feel like they should do instead of allowing the Lord to Lead..

My take
Hope alls well

Jesus never baptized anyone, except his disciples.

Joh 4:1 Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John
Joh 4:2 (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), (NKJ)

Paul did baptize some.

1Co 1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
1Co 1:15 lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.
1Co 1:16 Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.
1Co 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel,

I agree except for water baptism.

Cleansing with water was commanded under Israel's law covenant

John the Baptist water baptized to:
Identify Christ to Israel
the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins
When Israel repented and believed they would continue to be water baptized with the baptism of John

Jesus commanded water baptism upon belief in Mark 16:16

Peter commanded to be water baptized for the remission of sins in Acts 2:38

Paul never commanded us (the body of Christ) to be water baptized. There is no command given us to obey and be water baptized.

Water baptism for Jew or Gentile in this dispensation of grace isnt required
Water baptism and infant baptism is a church tradition and/or a requirement

I agree. The problem with the above, is that I don't follow Paul, I follow Jesus as he did.

If you disagree with water baptism, then you have to admit that in Matthew, as you previously stated, it was meant only for the Apostles—yet I’ve shown that this contradicts what Jesus stated for them to do the succeeding verse. It can’t be both ways here.

We can debate whether it aligns with the dispensation of Grace—whether baptizing a baby, before someone’s profession of faith, is actually beneficial besides getting one wet—but not whether Jesus wanted it to be done. Because He surely did.

So, the only way to exclude baptism as being something that Jesus wanted done, is if in the following verses of Matthew, they are not interpreted as commands. Which of course opens up another can of worms on a myriad of other subjects and not just baptism.

[Mat 28:19-20 KJV] 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Paul didn't follow Christ during his earthly ministry
Paul follows the risen Christ who revealed to Paul the gospel, instructions and commandments

If you follow Christ after his earthly ministry
[Luke 14:26 KJV] "If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
[Luke 14:33 KJV] "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple." ******** you have to forsake all

[Luke 18:22 KJV] "Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me." ************ you have to sell all

[Matthew 5:18 KJV] "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
[Matthew 5:19 KJV] "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." ******** you have to keep and teach the whole law

If you disagree with water baptism, then you have to admit that in Matthew, as you previously stated, it was meant only for the Apostles—yet I’ve shown that this contradicts what Jesus stated for them to do the succeeding verse. It can’t be both ways here.
I dont know where in Matthew you are referring to.
All of believing Israel upon repentance and belief would be water baptized according to John's baptism
Matthew 28 was commanding the twelve Apostles to teach and baptize the nations

We can debate whether it aligns with the dispensation of Grace—whether baptizing a baby, before someone’s profession of faith, is actually beneficial besides getting one wet—but not whether Jesus wanted it to be done. Because He surely did.
I dont know anywhere in scripture where infants were water baptized
Jesus wanted believers to be water baptized before this dispensation

Jesus commanded the Apostles to teach all he commanded them which included water baptism and the law. This doesn't include us the church, the body of Christ

The only way I can even see what you are saying, is if you believe that Jesus is not the head of the Church, and that He didn't use the Apostles to establish/further the Church/Body of Christ. Is that what you believe to be the case?
