Why people believe they love ones, looking down on them smiling

Imma Christian Bible believer so I usually stick with what's written in the Bible. So, if u can bless us with some scripture or verses according to your understanding that would be good.
Imma is a word accredited by some to represent Mary our blessed sister in the Lord, the mother of the son of man, Jesus.

I do not use that name

The tool or verse needed to rightly divide or understand the hidden things of parables. Invisible God has no father invisible things the "Let there be" faith.

The two literal historical must be mixed with the unseen eternal (Hebrew 4:1-2) Or the parable remains a mystery

Note. . .(Black) that seen historical temporal

Note .. .(Red) that not seen eternal

Note. . .(Green) born again believers

Temporal seen must be compared as a parable or mixed with the unseen eternal then we can find the gospel understanding

A very valuable tool to be applied whenever studying

2 Corinthians 4:18;While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Hebrews 4;1-2Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.;For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

I am just waiting for @Rhema and @BroTan to say ''haha, we were just trolling''.

The grave is used as the word for Sheol and hell 31 times each, and 'pit' on three occasions.

The grave is not a hole in the ground with a coffin and you in it. :D :D

Many people know:
"the Babylonians had a similar underworld called Aralu, and the Greeks had one known as Hades."
For Israel = Sheol. All three equate to a similar afterlife concept. Note I state "similar" not same as all three would NOT have the same belief/idea/concept of it.

"grave", and that this is what the Biblical Hebrew term Sheol refers to: the common grave of humans.
Somov, Alexey (2018). "Afterlife". In Hunter, David G.; van Geest, Paul J. J.; Lietaert Peerbolte, Bert Jan (eds.). Brill Encyclopedia of Early Christianity Online. Leiden and Boston: Brill Publishers. doi:10.1163/2589-7993_EECO_SIM_00000067. ISSN 2589-7993.

Many believe that dead people are in Hell while many do not.
It makes no sense for anyone/anything to be there. The Final Judgement has no happened where ALL dead will face the Final Judgement. That would mean those in Hell suffering would get a "break" just to be thrown back in.
Demons and Satan are not there for the same reason. They know of it and pleaded with Jesus not to send them there.

No mortal human mind can comprehend Heaven or Hell. Anyone who's "claimed" to have gone to either is lying. The mind can create all kinds of dreams and hallucinations especially before they are cold and dead.

*For some reason I can NOT turn off italics.

And you'll keep waiting till hell freezes over.

Where? Old or New? And which translation?

You need to do some actual study instead of thinking you know it all.

The grave is not a hole in the ground with a coffin and you in it.
Of course not. They fill in the hole.

And one wonders what you think is in a graveyard.

Many believe that dead people are in Hell while many do not.
If dead people are alive in hell (as is the common belief of most Christians) then God would be the God of the dead.

I appreciate when citations are given. Many thanks.

It should also be noted that the LXX to translates Sheol to the Greek word "hades". Any Jew reading "hades" would know to think of what they had been taught about Sheol. It's not that the scriptures are trying to say that Greek mythology is right.

Wow, never thought i would see a threat like this. Where is faith today? Is faith limited to the physical understanding of everything? What happens when a spiritual person confronts you?

I am not talking about someone you can not see. I am talking about a person filled with the Holy Spirit. Someone who knows truth from foolishness.

@BroTan

(He is a persistent accuser of the brethren....)

If you do not care that your belief incriminates God, are you 'brethren'. I think not.

Your God is yourself. Not misrepresenting God is top on the priority list of any true Christian. That is a 'duh' fact. Meditate on it.

Many people know:
"the Babylonians had a similar underworld called Aralu, and the Greeks had one known as Hades."

Sure, that does not make it false though. Demons would teach humans many truths and all pagan religions were and are influenced by them.

For Israel = Sheol. All three equate to a similar afterlife concept. Note I state "similar" not same as all three would NOT have the same belief/idea/concept of it.

I would be weary of quoting Judaism. They have mixed views on the punishment of the wicked in the afterlife. I believe most agree with a universalist type belief.

"grave", and that this is what the Biblical Hebrew term Sheol refers to: the common grave of humans.

This thread is not focused on a discussion of Sheol. There is a lot of scripture to look at. We need to have a proper study. Perhaps we should start one.

Many believe that dead people are in Hell while many do not.

I would say a minority (Annihilationists) do not believe in Hades being a place of torment. All I would think do believe in a hell / lake of fire wherein Hades is thrown.

I guess annihilationists believe everyone's coffin is thrown into the lake :D .

It makes no sense for anyone/anything to be there. The Final Judgement has no happened where ALL dead will face the Final Judgement. That would mean those in Hell suffering would get a "break" just to be thrown back in.

This is an interesting point.

You are making the mistake of rationalising Hades outside of scripture. Rather meditate on scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to help you grasp it.

Now, I appreciate the fact that you are trying to defend God. As torture / punishment before judgement appears evil. But this is without any shadow of a doubt unscriptural. Jesus Himself explains torment in Hades for half a chapter.

The view I take is that clearly punishment for sins has started. Why would God wait. But like I said, this topic deserves its own thread, I will not further discuss here. Many trolls looking for single lines to jump on and go in circles like blind dogs. You either do a proper study on the topic in its own thread or nothing.

If dead people are alive in hell (as is the common belief of most Christians) then God would be the God of the dead.

You take half of your opponents belief and make a statement as though its the A-Z of their belief. :D

Where is faith today?
Faith in what? Roman Catholic Mythology?

I am talking about a person filled with the Holy Spirit.
You're not the only one Bill. Don't know what proof you demand, but we can discuss this by PM.

Someone who knows truth from foolishness.
Everybody thinks they know the truth, until they actually start thinking.

If you do not care that your belief incriminates God, are you 'brethren'. I think not.
Your thinking is so far off the track, it would be impossible to untangle, and frankly not worth the effort. Truly.

My belief does not incriminate God. You only think it does, and so far... I wouldn't ever let you near writing computer software.

Your God is yourself.
You know nothing about me other than I don't buy into your nonsense. (And that truly enrages the NPD.)

Not misrepresenting God is top on the priority list of any true Christian.
And yet I'm not doing that. It's your twisted accusation saying that I am, and no one should bother one wit about that.

I would be weary of quoting Judaism. They have mixed views on the punishment of the wicked in the afterlife. I believe most agree with a universalist type belief.
The mistakes and misrepresentations in this statement are so profound as to boggle even the mind of God.
(And it's spelled wary...)

This thread is not focused on a discussion of Sheol.
And there you go again, telling other people what is and what isn't, like a control freak. The thread is about whatever the OP would like it to be, and in general that would be the afterlife, of which Sheol is part of the conversation. So stop trying to shut people up.

I guess annihilationists believe....
Straw Man, and missing the point entirely, because you don't understand what you're talking about - especially since you misrepresented the belief.

You are making the mistake of rationalising Hades outside of scripture.
You are making the mistake of thinking that Hades means something other than Sheol. It doesn't. It's just the Greek word that Jewish scripture uses for Sheol.

The view I take is that clearly punishment for sins has started. Why would God wait.
Why would God present scripture that contradicts other scripture? @BroTan has presented a rather clear and comprehensive set of scriptures that prove dead people are dead-dead. On the other hand, you have not, but merely rely upon you own desire to impose punishment that you even impute this to God. God has no desire to punish anyone.

The dead are dead-dead, until the Resurrection.

I didn't take anything from anyone. And I'm so sorry that your education was extremely subpar.

I made a statement for any member to think about (if they can).

If dead people are alive in hell (as is the common belief of most Christians) then God would be the God of the dead.

And I stand by my statement.

Dude, you dance around simple and logical accusations. That is not evidence of someone wanting to defend and correctly represent God to the lost. IE A Christian.

My belief does not incriminate God.

Rhema teaches:

1. Accept God or literally die = no true free will = evil God = Duh....
2. Jesus is not God = God punishing someone for sin they did not commit = Either unjust or sick and twisted = evil God.
3. God will annihilate all wicked = even venial sinners will receive capital punishment = unjust = evil God.

I will stop there. There are a few more I can mention, but super eager to watch you dance away from these simple, logical and sane accusations.

Incoming = ad hominem attack, terrible dancing and illogical, butthurt style waffling over multiple posts. Need to grab popcorn.

1. False accusation. Sheol = grave = Hades.
2. Brotans title and OP is not about Sheol.

I would offer.

Annihilationist's I believe understand they are daily experiencing the pangs of hell suffering in a body of death, working out the one appointment death (Hebrews 9:27) according to the letter of the law. in Genesis 2

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law,(death) that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.(death)

The power of the tongue of God . . . .life or death

Ecclesiastics speaks of that death according to the letter of the law as it is written. Univeral Alzheimer. Things of earth to include the letter of the law the bible will not be remembered or ever come to mind .

The unredeemed just as if never born the first time. Names removed from the book of life

Ecclesiastics 9:5-6For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.;

No double jeopardy, judged twice for the same crime "thou shall not eat or you are dead never to rise to new life" .

Again, working out the appointment of death below (.Ecclesiastes 12:1-7)

Yoked with Christ our daily burdens can be lighter with a living hope beyond what the eyes see.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-7 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days (hell) come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:;In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,;And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low; Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.;Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Both the letter of the law and its daily suffering called hell are both tossed into the judgment fire . The letter of the law will not be part of the new creation the unveiling of His bride.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The death of death.

If dead people are alive in hell (as is the common belief of most Christians) then God would be the God of the dead.
People are "dead" (body) regardless of location.
People do not stop existing after physical death. Alive and dead are understood on a human level but with God they can be alive with God or dead without.
Glorified body vs un-glorified one.
God has a LOT of names and titles far more important.

Jews are not Christian. They think their "Bible" and what they "believe" is the right/only way. They believe that humping the Wailing Wall is a thing.
Greek mythology is all that Zues and paganism nonsense. The language is another.

These earthen bodies of death return to the dust

We will receive a new incorruptible body an outward covering not subject to death .

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

James 2:26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

I just like Saint Luke chapter 16 in it's entirety because Christ tells it plainly. Heaven. Hell. The people there and the nature of these places in contrast to mortal life on this Earth. The importance of the OT and NT being inseparable as we have it. The Way, the Truth, the Life.

Christ told the Thief on the cross he would be with Him in Paradise. You know, fully conscious and in comfort and still desirous for everyone to do the right things and accept Jesus Christ as their Redeemer.

(I probably lost the plot of this thread, or the question.)

In the scriptures it's written in Isaiah 28: 9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. These the tools I use also, let me show you that God's word is contained in a book. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success". (Joshua 1:8) "Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read". (Isaiah 34:16)
