WE HAVE TO EAT JESUS

Eating and drinking are both the means of receiving food and therefore by coming to & believing in Him is the only means of receiving that bread of life, Jesus Christ, that gives life to the world.
I'll be talking more about it soon. For now you want to address what MedicBravo brought up about seeking Jesus? I think it is more relevant scriptures concerning this topic.

I already addressed the scriptures you used. According to you we eat the bread from heaven by just believing. Well that is not correct. Jesus says we don't live on bread alone but on every word of God.

How do you live on every word of God? By believing His words.
So you want to maintain that you eat the bread from heaven by just believing he is the Christ?
Yes. That is all I have to offer in regards to your topic.

Mayhap others will chime in with something different or they may concur with what I have shared, I know not.

You say we only have to believe and that is how we drink and eat.

But what does Jesus say?

Read what Jesus' disciples said to him...

John 4:31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something."

32 But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about."

33 Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?"

34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

Did you read that? Jesus says his food is to DO the will of him who sent me and to FINISH HIS WORK.

We are to do God's will. God's will is that we obey Jesus' teachings.

Now, that proves we eat the flesh of Jesus when we do what Jesus says to do.

Jesus does not get in you unless you eat of him...unless you do what he says to do.

@God's Truth Grape juice is pretty good and I'm sure one can find a "chocolate Jesus on a cross" somewhere. I'm 100% sure Jesus wasn't speaking literally as that would promote cannibalism. He is alive so when He shows up again are we supposed to attack him like zombies? No.
The Catholics are the one that are brainwashed in thinking the wafers and grape juice are "literally" Christ's body. That's absurd.
He said it part that one who seeks Him will never thirst nor be hungry. Our fragile meat sacks are temporary and while tied to them they hurt and we feel miserable, happy, and all kinds of emotions but our permanent need of Him is the most important thing.
And the necessity to believe His words that by believing in Him is how we have eternal life and thus believing Him is how we have eternal life. No actual eating involved which is why at communion, we are remembering what He has done for us on the cross in proclaiming the Lord's death till He comes..

How do you live on every word of God? By believing His words.

Luke 11:3 Give us each day our daily bread.

Jesus says for us to pray, give us each day our daily bread. That is having Jesus every day, his words, his teachings. We are to eat Jesus every day, which means to obey every day.

John 6:58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.”

Jesus says he who “feeds on this bread.” That is not a onetime thing. We are to eat every day. We are to obey every day.

You quoted what Jesus will do; not what we will do or ought to do.

We are not to finish His work or even begin it. We are simply to believe Him; i.e. to trust Him to do His work for why the just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:...
...11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

I believe Him & His words to me every day and so that is how I am receiving the daily bread.

I hope after our discussion and the scriptures, you will see that we have to believe and obey to get saved and to stay saved.

You quoted what Jesus will do; not what we will do or ought to do.
Jesus tells us that only those who do the will of his Father will enter.

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

That has to do with the purification works only.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:...

Jesus is only in you after you eat him by obeying him.

Do you want me to recite the will of the Father for us to enter into eternal life?

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Believe what about him? Think about it some more.

I obey Him and the gospel by believing Him and the gospel.
That is not enough. You can't live on by blood alone...by drinking wine alone...by believing alone.

When Jesus says to believe him he is not saying only believe him and don't obey him.

Believe what about him? Think about it some more.
Look at Adam's sin; he hearkened unto the word of the woman rather than what God had told him directly. In other words, when he did that, he did not believe God and His word about not eating from that forbidden tree.

So that is how by one man's sin, unbelief, is how we sinners are saved by believing in Him and His words.

Trust is the basis for all relationships. Ask yourself what are you trusting Jesus Christ to have done for you and what are you trusting Him in being willing to continue to do for you in other matters?

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You are adding the part about Adam not believing when the lesson is about Adam sinning by what he did.

I trust everything that Jesus says. Jesus says repent or perish. He is speaking about repent of my sins or die in my sins.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Of course we have to have faith in Jesus.
We have believe that we have to go through, obey this man who says he is the Son of God.
