Is it LAWFUL to kill animals?

@ Daniel L-- waggles speaks for most of us who have been following this conversation.

So 'over and out'
I believe our friend Daniel has just posted a thread on the Earth being flat.

F I R M A M E N T U M

So, "outer space" is not void, it is water. The sun and moon move relative to the earth, but the earth does not move. And the earth is a circle on the "face" of the deep, which makes it flat in terms of geometry.

how twisted are you?
What about the Breath of Life, can Jesus kill the Breath of Life, a Living Soul from the Father?

Ecclesiastes 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

Remember: Thou shalt not kill. Jesus is Holy, He cannot sin. He came to fullfil the Law and the Prophets. Not to destroy.
Baruch 4:1 This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Exodus 23:7 [...] I will not justify the wicked.

Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.

Proverbs 24:24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.

150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 4:4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Proverbs 5:12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
23 He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Proverbs 15:5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Job 21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

You live under the Law,and you shall be judged as such
Judgement is equal to everyone, there is no respect of persons with God.

Deuteronomy 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

-And all will be judged according to their works.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

ok Daniel, let me ask you one final question, if you are correct about the law being for everyone, then who can be saved? ( James 2:10)

who can be saved?
Those that keep His commandments. Yes, all of them. And His commandments are not grievous, His burden is Light.

Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law.
100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

-The reason why it is possible, is because of His Mercy. If we repent, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. He is the One who makes us righteous, if we repent, that is. And it is possible to repent, or do you think Jesus would command the impossible?

But if you start off by giving up, saying it is impossible, of course you will never be able to. Because you lack faith, and will power.

If a person Could keep all the commandments all the time, it would be possible to work our way to heaven, but no one can. If nothing else, we'd be guilty of prideful attitude and that would be sin.

Besides Romans tells us that everyone of us are sinners. And the price of that is death. We all deserve to be on hell. But God commenderh His love to us in that while we were sinners he died on the cross for us and rose again for us. So now we all have a chance to be saved from eternity in hell.

Yes, that is true. Repentance. Admitting that you Have sinned and need God's gift of salvation. Belief in your heart send confession unto salvation. Thanking God for His gift -- accepting God's gift of salvation for yourself. Your Personal Lord and Savior.

Repentance.
Yes, and because repentance is a work, we are saved by works like, repentance. And repentance is not just admitting, that would only free you from shame and guilt. But true repentance is when you stop sinning, that is what frees you from sin.

Repentance is not a work. An action such as baptism, joining a church , anything that would be in addition to trusting in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as being sufficient to take care of our sins.

addition to trusting in the shed blood of Jesus Christ
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Our faith is shown through our lives.

We also have Ephesians 2:8-10
"For by grace we are saved through faith, and that not of our selves it is a gift of God , not of works lest anyone should boast.

Your post 191. Is showing that God does at times change His mind. The people were sorry about their actions and changed their ways and so God showed His mercy by changing His mind.

There are no works on our part involved in our salvation. Everything necessary for our salvation was done by Jesus Christ on the cross.

There are no works on our part involved in our salvation.
God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way

So, are you just going to ignore the fact that repentance is a work, testified by God Himself in Scripture?

You don't want to know that faith without works is dead, right?
Everything necessary for our salvation was done by Jesus Christ on the cross.
Do you even believe in Jesus?

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

So we can sin all we want to, molest children, murder, whatever... it doesn't matter. Jesus has got us?
False doctrine of demons.

@b.a.c. so what is the truth about salvation. Other than that I've shared. Maybe I should ha r added that when a person Does accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell the person immediately. He gives us knew desires. We won't want to keep on doing the same sinful things. No one will ever be free from dinning in this lifetime but we will have a desire to read God's Word follow His Word.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
@Daniel L. -- you have a real talent for misapplying scripture. Context is essential.

God did see from their actions that their faith was real. And God also knows our heart . Our actions are a reflection of our heart beliefs.

What do you do with the Ephesians 2 passage. It specifies that our salvation is Not dependant on any good work on our part.

And yes, I most certainly do believe in Jesus Christ being the Son of God. He's been my personal Savior for many decades.

God did see from their actions that their faith was real.
Yes, their faith was real because of their works, that they turned from evil. It says very clearly, their works, that they turned from their evil way.
There is nothing beeing misaplied here. Their turning from evil was seen as a work, by God.
What do you do with the Ephesians 2 passage.
First, Paul is the one and only witness you have for dead faith, and the faith in "him that justifieth the ungodly" and "free gift", and so on.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

-So, at the very least it is not established, but even if three men show up here to testify, I would take the witness of God over the witness of Man.

1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

-And the witness of God in the flesh directs us to repentance and the keeping of the commandments.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Luke 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
I most certainly do believe in Jesus Christ
Then you believe you are saved by works, because He said those who keep the Law will live. All He asks is to Love Him and your neighbour.

the Holy Spirit comes to indwell the person immediately. He gives us knew desires. We won't want to keep on doing the same sinful things. No one will ever be free from dinning in this lifetime but we will have a desire to read God's Word follow His Word.

So you've never sinned since the Holy Spirit came to you? "We won't WANT to keep on..." Want has nothing to do with it. Either you sin or you don't.

You have a desire to read God's Word... that's great. Satan knows God's Word better than you do... is he saved?

Where does the Bible say we "have" to keep on sinning? Another false doctrine. When we sin, it's because we choose to sin and disobey God.... Holy Spirit or not.

There are people who don't "want" to be drug addicts, but they are. There are people who don't "want" to be homosexuals, but they are. There are people who don't "want" to look at pornography, but they do.
Wanting to do the right thing won't save you. Actually doing the right thing and living the right way will.

The cross of Jesus Christ is sufficient -- no good work on our part is needed.

If y'all want to believe in a good works salvation that's up to you. And I'm finished here.
