EPHESIANS 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge....

Jesus is God vs Jesus has a God?
When Jesus became flesh, Father became His God, for Father is the God of all flesh. Notice Father is the God of the flesh, not the God of Himself. So, when Jesus says He has a God, He speaks as a man, proving He came in the flesh. But He also spoke as the "I AM". So, Jesus is God, in the flesh:

8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

But the Bible says that God was IN Christ Jesus telling Him what to say, and doing the works that were done, as Jesus had emptied Himself and became a servant unto the Fathers will.

Your doctrine holds no water.

But the Bible says that God was IN Christ
Yes, they are in Perfect Union. The Two Divine Persons are united in One. The Father is in the Son, doesn't mean the Son ceases to be God. Because the Son is also in the Father, and the Father didn't ceased to be God, did He? They are united in One. The Three Divine Persons are One.

Revelation 19:6 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

This I almost accept.
Jesus BECAME a LIFE GIVING Spirit after He was perfected. He was glorified and assumed His role as A God according to the Fathers plan. But He can never be
the ONLY TRUE GOD, that belongs to His Father. Jesus even says so in John 17:3

At this link are scriptures testifying to the God Men had Seen in the O.T. as being Jesus BEFORE His incarnation as the Son of Man to give His life as a ransom for many.

Jesus The God That Men Had Seen In The O.T.

That means Jesus as the Word of God as God Our Creator that had created everything.

John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 3:3 Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

As a man, Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God in the flesh. After Jesus' baptism in Jordan and the descending of the Holy Spirit He (Jesus) was then born the second time just as
the elect are.
Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water , He saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending on Him:

He experienced exactly what we experience only the Spirit was given Him without measure.
That was not what His water baptism was about. His water baptism was the fulfillment of the prophesy that the Lord God & His Spirit sent Him, God Our Redeemer as "Jesus" is speaking in that prophesy below.

Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. 17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

So the reason why the Holy Spirit alighted on Jesus was to add His testimony to the Father's testimony from Heaven that Jesus is His Son and thus the very God our prophesied Redeemer had come.

It was not about Jesus being born again of the Spirit when He was ministering, going about His Father's business even when He was twelve years old.

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

So His water baptism has nothing to do with how we are born again of the Spirit when we need to believe in Jesus Christ for the remission of sins to be born again of the Spirit & thus saved.

My point here is that Jesus was made a man in all things just as we are. Heb 2:17 We see where He is today at the right hand of God and pronounced to be a God by the Father.
The same will be said for all the elect of God in that once their perfection is complete they too will be what Jesus is in that "we see Him as He is for we shall be like Him."
Psalms 82 :6
"Is it not written in your law I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High."

Spiritually speaking we all started with a spirit from God that was then begotten again into life eternal as God had promised this before the world began. Titus 1:2
We who are the elect will someday put on immortality just like Jesus did.
Jesus was the pattern, He was the LIGHT that shows the way back to the Father but in a way that elevates the original spirit that came out from God to now be an independent
source of Love, perfected to look, act, and perform exactly as their Father, who is the Father of ALL including Jesus Christ.
1 Co 15:28 ".........
..That God may be ALL in ALL." Said another way That LOVE may be ALL in ALL.

Yet in according to our faith, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father is in us as the Three Witnesses within the One "God" is with us in that way testifying that we are His and thus saved.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

And Jesus said this also;

Matthew 28
:8 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

So Jesus was the God men had seen in the O.T. and not the Father, and Jesus has fulfilled the prophesy of the God Our Redeemer that was sent by the Lord God ( the Father ) & His Spirit as the way to God is God as well.

Then why is the Son subject unto the Father
-Because Jesus is a wise Son.

Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
And why would the blaspheming of the Father and the Son be forgiven but the blaspheming of the Holy Ghost not considering you say the 3 are one?
They are also distinct from each other. The Son speaks to the Father, not to Himself. But the Three are One God.

I was being facetious!! I am not a trinitarian.

God was always the God of Jesus, but before Jesus was Jesus he was not God. As Jesus was GIVEN life to have within Himself from the Father. John 5:26 Jesus was also GIVEN all power
in heaven and in earth by the Father. Matthew 28:18 One must have possession of something in order to give it to someone else. In both cases the Father gave it to Jesus.
Jesus never was nor ever will be a personality of the only true God. He was just as us, a spirit that was foreordained to be the propitiation for the sin of man, and thus GIVEN the right
to baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire after His death and resurrection. Prior to this God only had that right.

You really should look up the word LOGOS translated as "word" in the Bible. It's true meaning is the divine reason, purpose, plan. Gods word has a purpose and it will always be fulfilled
according to what He sent it to accomplish.
Jesus was the divine purpose of God made flesh in that He BECAME the first ever "spiritually" begotten Son of God. Thus showing us why we exist. To become sons of God spiritually.

In the beginning was the divine reason, and the divine reason was with God, and the divine reason was God. If your ever allowed to see this correctly you'll understand that God has/had
a plan, and that plan was to create sons unto Himself who would glorify Him as they would possess all His characteristics and attributes, Jesus was the first to finish the process.
And that only because that was the order in which God chose prior to the creation of the world.

1 Co 15:22-23 As in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. But, EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER.......................... Jesus first. After all Christ is a many membered
body composed of men who become spiritually begotten of God, Christ is not Jesus' last name it is a designation given to any one who is a member of the body of Christ.
We must remember that Jesus was born Jesus and became Jesus Christ after His baptism of the spirit at the river Jordan. Jesus was generation 41 from Abraham, Jesus Christ was 42.
Thus the beginning of the creation of God Rev 3:14 "SPIRITUALLY BEGOTTEN SONS" Count them up in the first chapter of Matthew.

I appreciate your reasoning and do not claim to be better or more correct then anyone else who loves God and His word (all who are saved are saved by grace through faith) however one thing I would like to share for your edification is that John had to use the word Logos because it was the closest Greek equivalent and this required 3 verses to get the Hebrew sense across (which was his intent). THE one and ONLY God was dwelling among us in the man Christ Jesus. Dwelt here means to pitch tent or tabernacle. In other words "God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself". Jesus was/is "the fulness of the Deity bodily" and this concept comes from the Targumim of and before the time of Jesus and they called this manifestation of God (as a man in some cases and in a man in others) the Memra. In the mid-first century Targum of Jonathan ben-Uzziel this one is called "the YHVH-Memra" or "Word of God" and is not only sent by and from God but IS God, and this was the point John 1 was making and it was speaking to the diaspora Rabbis that Jesus was the Tabernacle of God NONT made with hands. Be blessed.

Read why the Lamb defeats Satan and his hosts in Revelations 17:14...read it out loud. It is written (in the Hebrew) that God will provide Himself a lamb for the offering. According to Deuteronomy 10:17 and elsewhere YHVH alone is the Lord of lords. So if the Lamb IS the Lord of lords then the Lamb is YHVH who apparently provided Himself.

Well God cannot lie and He calls that Lamb His "Son" not Himself!!

Well God cannot lie and He calls that Lamb His "Son" not Himself!!

He also calls the Son "God".

Heb 1:8; But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.

The Father calls the Son.. God.

Matt 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matt 17:5 While He yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him.

He also calls the Son "God".

Heb 1:8; But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.

The Father calls the Son.. God.

And I can go there with you in that Jesus became a life giving spirit after He was perfected by the Father. 1 Co 15:45 "And so it is written the first Adam became a living being, the
last Adam became a life giving spirit."

Hebrews 5:9-10 After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him, and He was declared a High Priest by God ........................

Well God cannot lie and He calls that Lamb His "Son" not Himself!!
You misunderstand the concept of the Word of God. Jesus tells us no man has EVER seen the Father OR heard his voice, the Son declares Him (which means makes Him manifest). So every time the Lord (YHVH) appears and speaks in the Tanakh (the Old Testament) it is the Word/Son. The Word/Son is the hypostasis of YHVH that people can see and hear, NOT the Father. The YHVH who sends and the YHVH who is sent are still the one and only YHVH. This concept comes from the Israelites. When Jocob wrestles with the Man of God he tells us this was THE God. In Exodus 3 when the Angel of the Lord appears and speaks to Moses (as the bush that burned but was not consumed) He reveals Himself to be that I AM the God (the one and only true God) of Moises fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob). In Isaiah 48 we hear YHVH speaking and telling the prophet that He IS the one who spread out the heavens, etc., but then in verse 16 says that the Lord of Hosts has sent Him with His Spirit. The example are manifold. The ancient Israelites under stood this but the concept was lost in the Greek and later Latin theologies. However, even the language of Nicea put it like One Ousia in three Hypostases. If you read the Targum Jonathan (the mid-first century summation of the Jewish understanding written in Aramaic) you see how Jonathan makes this aspect of YHVH very clear. The Father is all YHVH is that is separate from or transcendent to His creation (we are incapable of seeing and hearing His essence in the flesh), the Son is that aspect of YHVH that allows us to comprehend, see, and hear Him and is with us, and the Spirit which we can sometimes hear but never see but can experience is YHVH within us. One YHVH not three or some corporate beast but ONE and only ONE but made comprehensible as much as possible to humanity.

Here are a couple of examples:

In Genesis it is written that YHVH (sitting in the tent with Abraham) sends forth the two men (who are angels manifest in the flesh) to rain down fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah from YHVH in heaven (but there is only ONE YHVH.

On Exodus 24:1, The Targum Jonathan understands the scripture to be saying, “the Word of YHVH said to Moses, come up to YHVH“, and just previously in 20:1, he said, “and the Word of the LORD spoke all these glorious words“!

Targum Onkelos renders Genesis 15:6 as, “and Abraham trusted in the Word of YHVH, and He counted it to him for righteousness“, while the Jerusalem Targum on Genesis 22:14 says, “and Abraham worshipped and prayed in the name of the Word of YHVH and said, You are the YHVH who does see, but You cannot be seen“. In Genesis 16:3 he has Hagar praying “in the name of the Word of YHVH“, as if God had made Himself seeable, and yet she was not consumed!

This is the One to whom John explains in John 1:1-3...He is telling the diaspora Rabbis who still did not believe, that THIS Jesus IS the Word/Son in which they already were aware (or at least should have been since they were allegedly teachers of the Tanakh, like when He is confused when He had to explain to Nicodemus the concept of being born again which Nico should have already understood). Keep asking. Keep growing. Pray the Spirit will lead you and guide you into ALL truth. But know that all this was already known about before any New Covenant writings were penned.

Jesus became a life giving spirit after He was perfected by the Father. 1 Co 15:45
Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

-Also, do you think it is a spirit that will return in a white horse, judge the nations and rule 1000 years, or is it the actual Jesus with flesh and bones?

"But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."

Explain co-equal again??
