How Do You Know You Are Saved?

You need to seperate what man says vs what Jesus says.

Jesus says that at the judgement people are going to be surprized that they are amoung the saved and people are going to be surprized that they are amoung the damned. It does not help to have faith or believe in what Jesus says unless you actually do what Jesus says. Jesus teaches it is the doer-works- that will be used to determine one's salvation or damnation.
Jesus's words right here:

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Paul words here as led by the Spirit of Christ to share.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead?

Or are you oblivious in how sin is destroying sinners' lives and not just foolish Christians that sows to the flesh in reaping corruption?

You are saved by Grace through faith, this is a gift of God and not of yourselves, less you could boast!

You are saved by Grace through faith, this is a gift of God and not of yourselves, less you could boast!
Running that race by looking to Jesus Christ, the author & finisher of our faith, to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily so that we may be accepted by Him as that vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven is also to His glory since our confidence is in Him to finish His work in us.

Are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead?
Absolutely.

It is a bad thing to base your theology on one utterance. It is extremely bad hermenutics to base your theology on one utterance when the other three gospels adamently contradict this. Like James said faith without works is dead. You can believe all you want, but it does not result in doing, it is in vain.

There is a large chasm between the believers of faith and the believers of biblical criticism. There is a reason John is not included in the synoptic gospels, nor does scholarship think it is historically accurate.

Paul can say whatever he wants to say, he is not Jesus. Jesus says you will be judged to salvation or damnation by your works. You get no free pass for thinking you are christian.

You are saved by Grace through faith, this is a gift of God and not of yourselves, less you could boast!
No where does Jesus say this. In fact, when Jesus was plainly asked how one inherets eternal life he also answered plainly, by obeying the law.

Absolutely.
Then do consider your words, brother.
It is a bad thing to base your theology on one utterance. It is extremely bad hermenutics to base your theology on one utterance when the other three gospels adamently contradict this. Like James said faith without works is dead. You can believe all you want, but it does not result in doing, it is in vain.
Is that not what you are doing? There is far more scripture to the truth I share than what you are sharing. Ephesians 2:8-10 & Romans 10:8-17 & 1 Corinthians 1:17-21 KJV. You are not going to find any collaborating scripture to support how you and many believers are misapplying the Book of James for, as if works is necessary for salvation.

Running that race for abiding in Him by looking to the author & finisher of our face to help us lay aside every weight & sin ( Hebrews 12:1-2 ) is necessary for discipleship as well as to be accepted by Him as that vessel unto honor in His House ( 2 Timothy 2:18-21 ) for why even former believers are still called to depart from iniquity because He still abides in them per verse 13 of 2 Timothy 2:10-13 or else 2 Timothy 2:12, be denied by Him to be cast off John 15:1-8 & Luke 12:40-49 & Revelation 2:18-25 as in left behind to die at the rapture event, but their spirits will be with the Lord to await for their resurrection after the great tribulation ( 2 Corinthians 5:7-11 ) as vessels unto dishonor in His House.

James was not talking about faith in Jesus Christ for salvation that needed works. James was addressing a church that was disrespecting the poor from the beginning of chapter 2 in that Book of James and James addressed another abuse that the church was doing to the poor in that same chapter when the church gave a blessing to the poor, declaring the church's faith in God to provide for the poor, but this was done to get out of helping the poor with their immediate needs from the bounty collected at church's service. It is in the eyes of the poor that the church's faith in God's providence will not "profit" the poor nor "save" the poor when the poor see that church's faith in God's providence is dead, failing to lead by example to the poor after church service by meeting their immediate needs from the bounty collected at church service.

There is a large chasm between the believers of faith and the believers of biblical criticism. There is a reason John is not included in the synoptic gospels, nor does scholarship think it is historically accurate.
As if the other three gospels and the epistles of Paul's, Peter's, John's and yes James are opposing each other. You even referred to the Book of 1 John in trying to make your case without discerning his message with 1 John 1:9 & 1 John 2:1-2 for what the apostle john was really talking about.
Paul can say whatever he wants to say, he is not Jesus. Jesus says you will be judged to salvation or damnation by your works. You get no free pass for thinking you are christian.
Paul is not saying anything different from what Jesus as said. The warnings of Jesus to the believers can be seen in Paul's warning for not running that race by faith in Jesus Christ to help us to follow Him as His disciples 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 There are 2 kinds of inheritance awaiting the believers; the firstfruits at the rapture event will be like the angels that never die & never marry.

Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Those resurrected after the great tribulation are not the same because the power of the second death will not be over them ( Revelation 20:1-6 ) and yet inferring the power of the first death still does for why they and the generations coming from them will need to eat from the tree of life for the healing of the nations while they serve the king of kings from al over the world on earth. These be the vessels unto dishonor in His House for why they are considered the least in the kingdom of Heaven per Matthew 5:19. They are in His House still 2 Timothy 2:20 because they testify to the power of God in salvation for all those that believe in Him, even in His name. John 1:12-13 as He will lose none of all the Father will give Him John 6:37-40. Although He said He will not cast any one out, yet there is an "excommunication" for not being ready as found abiding in Him to attend the Marriage Supper above when the Bridegroom comes.

Matthew 25:1-13 is about the ten virgins THAT ARE the kingdom of heaven, but yet five were foolish for why they were not ready, being out to the market seeking to be filled with oil whereas the prudent and the wise knew they were ready as they had always been Spirit-filled since salvation as a testimony from God that they are saved Matthew 9:17 for why they would never hunger nor hirst to be filled with the Spirit ever again after salvation as promised; John 6:35

Yet in spite of those following a stranger's voice for climbing up another way ( John 10:1-5 ) than to Jesus Christ ( John 14:6 ) as if the Holy Spirit is Another Go To God to come to the Father by, Jesus addresses the other fold of sheep that did not follow His voice, but a stranger's voice, tongues for private use as gained by another "baptism" with the Holy Ghost, ( 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & Isaiah 8:19 ) as He "MUST" bring them John 10:14-16 because they are His sheep in spite of having gone astray in following that stranger's voice for believing the lie that they can receive the holy Spirit "again" apart from salvation as that damnation is to become vessels unto dishonor in His House. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3:15

This church at Thyatira was doing the same thing for why He calls them to repent of their spiritual fornication ( Revelation 2:18-25 ) before the Bridegroom comes by shunning tongues for private use and chase no more after receiving spirits for a sign as they do in slain in the spirit and the holy laughter movement. Matthew 12:39

Running that race is not for obtaining salvation because those left behind, even former believers, are still saved BUT they will become vessels unto dishonor in His House to wait for their resurrection after the great tribulation.

That means as an example, those saved Christians that no longer believe because of the lie of the evolution theory are still saved just as those who have gone astray thinking they can receive the holy Spirit again apart from salvation by signs, but while the door to the Marriage Supper is still open, former believers and carnal believers are still called to g to Jesus for help to see the lies and depart from iniquity before the Bridegroom comes. Hebrews 4:12-16

"All manner of sins will be forgiven but Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will NEVER be fogiven"!
And what sin will the Holy Spirit be convicting any one for? The sin for not believing in Him.

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

So in context of your reference, you have to keep reading His words about how those Pharisees were trying to scatter potential believers away from believing in Him so the unforgiveable sin is not believing in Jesus Christ as the unforgiveable sin the Holy Spirit will convict any one for.

You are WAY off basé!
I was just (paraphasing) what Jesus said!
He said many things for instance:
He said if you EVEN look at another person with lust in your heart, you have already committed Adultry!!!

Here He was kinda making à "tounge in cheek" comment ! : When you are saved your given the Holy Spirit to live in you.
If you die as a ,"Nonbeliever", then you have obviously " Blasphemed the Holy Spirit " !

I agree but not sure how that applies to the exchange between us.

That is the truth also.

Thanks for sharing.

"All manner of sins will be forgiven but Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will NEVER be fogiven"!
And it is this phrase that destroys the theory of the trinity because if blasphemy against God can be forgiven, and blasphemy agaisnt Jesus can be forgiven, but blashpemy against the Holy Spirit can not be forgiven then the three are not one.

Also. Whose will shall be done? The Father's will.

Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

If the Father judges no man, then how can God judge any one?

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

In case you missed it; The Son judges every one thus He is God as well, but He does so in according to the will of the Father.

So There are Three witnesses within the One God for God to be able to establish a testimony in creation and to judge any one just as the Holy Ghost will convict those who believe not in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

That is how the Word of God establish a word in creation and how and why He made that request to the Father to create man in "our image" and after "our likeness" for when the Father was in agreement as the One God, the Word of God created man in His image and after His likeness.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The same goes for how God judged any one; the Word of God made the request to the Father to go down and scatter the people at Babylon's tower.

Genesis 11:5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

So as God commands of men to have 2 or 3 witnesses to estbalish a testimony or to judge any one, so does God as that testifies to the make up of the One God consisting of 3 Witnesses for God's words to be true.

John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

That is why the added witness of the Holy Ghost had to alight on the Son when the Father testified from Heaven regarding His Son as being God.

Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

This fulfilled the prophesy that the Lord God and His Spirit sent God Our Redeemer.

Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. 17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

The Triune God is complex as we need His wisdom to apply His words accordingly but in spite of the Trinity doctrine, the Holy Spirit is not to be worshipped with the Father & the Son because there is only one way to honor the Father in worship and that is by only honoring the Son John 5:22-23 again and the only way to approach God the father by any where is by honoring the Son in worship John 14:6. No other way John 10:1 les they commit iniquity.

The Holy Spirit is God and one of the 3 Witnesses within the One God, but He is sent to dwell in us to bear testimony of the Son thru us and thereby glorify the Son in worship thru us.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

John 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Believe it or not, 1 John 5:7 was originally scripture as it was referenced as far back as 250 A.D. in debates in councils.

1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Take verse 7 out and readers cannot see how the witness of the One God in Heaven is greater then men's witnesses in the earth.

From the book by Davd W. Daniels at this link IS 1 JOHN 5:7 NOT IN ANY GREEK MANUSCRIPT BEFORE THE 1600S? IF IT IS TRUE, WHY IS IT IN THE KJV?

Quoting from link: There are more but just to show a sample of evidence that 1 John 5:7 was originally scripture. Believers had trouble with the "3 Witnesses within the One God" then also, but removing the verse does not remove the truth as found elsewhere in scripture that there is a plurality within the One God.

200 ADTertullian wrote "which three are one" based on the verse in his Against Praxeas, chapter 25.

Is that not what you are doing?
Nope.
There is far more scripture to the truth I share than what you are sharing. Ephesians 2:8-10 & Romans 10:8-17 & 1 Corinthians 1:17-21 KJV.
Yes, But Paul is not Jesus. Paul can say whatever he wants to say, and he will be judged for every word of it. Did you know that the first "christians" called Paul an "apostate?"
James was not talking about faith in Jesus Christ for salvation that needed works.
Of course he is. There is no salvation without works. Read what Jesus says.
Paul is not saying anything different from what Jesus as said.
Then, brother, I question that you may need guidance in comprehending the written word. Simply search something like the theology of Paul vs the theology of Jesus. Or go to wiki and look up Pauline theology. This is not new, not by a long shot.

It is pretty easy to spot those whose theology is absent of the teachings of Jesus. They amply quote Paul and John and ignore the synoptic gospels.

Because Man can be evil. The bible has many inclusions and exclusions. The KJV is testament in itself for the politics of Man playing as God in order to control others.

I see you have a pattern of amassing many verses that have no bearing on the issue being raised.
You are only saying that in not wishing to prove your ideology by the scriptures.

Nope.

Yes, But Paul is not Jesus. Paul can say whatever he wants to say, and he will be judged for every word of it. Did you know that the first "christians" called Paul an "apostate?"
You are losing credibility really fast there.
Of course he is. There is no salvation without works. Read what Jesus says.
And yet you provide no scripture to that effect.
Then, brother, I question that you may need guidance in comprehending the written word.
Yet you do not provide the written word as an example f what I am not comprehending here. I have addressed your reference in aligning with scripture but you have yet to address my references other than just to dismiss it out of hand like you did the gospel of John.
Simply search something like the theology of Paul vs the theology of Jesus. Or go to wiki and look up Pauline theology. This is not new, not by a long shot.
I am familiar with that false teaching that Paul was a false apostle, but I can see that he said the same thing Jesus did whereas you do not/

Funny how you dismiss the gospel of John also, there, brother. Okay. Not so funny, because you want to talk about comprehending the written word while dismissing the written word just by your say so? Only God knows if you are really a believe or not but I can surely say you are not abiding in Him & His words as your ought to be.

Consider the life you are living. You ask yourself, "Have I been saved?" What then does it mean to be saved? What am I saved from? A saved believer is a

justified/righteous believer. Do I live a righteous lifestyle? Do I willfully practice any "sins of the flesh?" Salvation is: being under the grace of God for my faith; being

forgiven of past sins; and being cleansed of unrighteousness (sins of the flesh in my life, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Romans 1:18-32). Are the fruit of

the Spirit evident in my life? Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He

has given us (1 John 3:24). Does my demeanor, the character of my spirit reflect Christ in me? Receiving the Spirit of Christ gives a believer the right to become a

child of God, it does not make you a child of God. Being saved from sin entails being delivered from (cleansed of) any "obvious sin in my life." Do I have an intimate

relationship with the Spirit of Christ within me? Are you mindful of your walk with the Lord through the day? Do you have a time of devotion/communion with the

Lord each day? Our walk with the Lord is progressive. A repentant believer who walks with the Lord is born of the Spirit as a child of God; children of God become

sons of God; sons of God become priests and kings, seated on the throne of God with Christ. Being delivered from sin comes first. Growing in grace, wisdom, and

the fruit of the Spirit as Christ is formed in us follows, to which there is no end. All of this can take a lifetime+, so do not be discouraged if progression seems slow.

(Colossians 3:17) With thanksgiving to GOD our Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus,.........may GOD bless

Sinners need to know that they can also hope in Jesus Christ to deliver them from their sins as well as give them eternal life. 1 John 3:3 1 John 3:8 2 Timothy 4:18 & Jude 1:24-25

Once saved, discipleship is about running that race in living that reconciled relationship with God thru Jesus Christ daily by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin ( Hebrews 12:1-2 ) in walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son so that our joy may be full and bear fruit worthy of repentance 1 John 1:3-9 Philippians 1:6-11 So we are to trust Him for all things; for following Him as well as for salvation; Romans 8:31-32
