And it is this phrase that destroys the theory of the trinity because if blasphemy against God can be forgiven, and blasphemy agaisnt Jesus can be forgiven, but blashpemy against the Holy Spirit can not be forgiven then the three are not one.
And what sin will the Holy Spirit be convicting any one for? The sin for not believing in Him.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Also. Whose will shall be done? The Father's will.
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
If the Father judges no man, then how can God judge any one?
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
In case you missed it; The Son judges every one thus He is God as well, but He does so in according to the will of the Father.
So There are Three witnesses within the One God for God to be able to establish a testimony in creation and to judge any one just as the Holy Ghost will convict those who believe not in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death;
but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
Deuteronomy 19:15
One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses,
shall the matter be established.
That is how the Word of God establish a word in creation and how and why He made that request to the Father to create man in "our image" and after "our likeness" for when the Father was in agreement as the One God, the Word of God created man in His image and after His likeness.
Genesis 1:26 And God said,
Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
The same goes for how God judged any one; the Word of God made the request to the Father to go down and scatter the people at Babylon's tower.
Genesis 11:5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
So as God commands of men to have 2 or 3 witnesses to estbalish a testimony or to judge any one, so does God as that testifies to the make up of the One God consisting of 3 Witnesses for God's words to be true.
John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
That is why the added witness of the Holy Ghost had to alight on the Son when the Father testified from Heaven regarding His Son as being God.
Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
This fulfilled the prophesy that the Lord God and His Spirit sent God Our Redeemer.
Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. 17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
The Triune God is complex as we need His wisdom to apply His words accordingly but in spite of the Trinity doctrine, the Holy Spirit is not to be worshipped with the Father & the Son because there is only one way to honor the Father in worship and that is by only honoring the Son John 5:22-23 again and the only way to approach God the father by any where is by honoring the Son in worship John 14:6. No other way John 10:1 les they commit iniquity.
The Holy Spirit is God and one of the 3 Witnesses within the One God, but He is sent to dwell in us to bear testimony of the Son thru us and thereby glorify the Son in worship thru us.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,
even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
John 16:14
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Believe it or not, 1 John 5:7 was originally scripture as it was referenced as far back as 250 A.D. in debates in councils.
1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
Take verse 7 out and readers cannot see how the witness of the One God in Heaven is greater then men's witnesses in the earth.
From the book by Davd W. Daniels at this link IS 1 JOHN 5:7 NOT IN ANY GREEK MANUSCRIPT BEFORE THE 1600S? IF IT IS TRUE, WHY IS IT IN THE KJV?
Quoting from link: There are more but just to show a sample of evidence that 1 John 5:7 was originally scripture. Believers had trouble with the "3 Witnesses within the One God" then also, but removing the verse does not remove the truth as found elsewhere in scripture that there is a plurality within the One God.
