I was walking home from primary school, wondering what my job would be when I got older, the first word that entered my head was priest. What felt like electricity ran through me just as I said that, from that moment forward life was never the same. So he decides who to give that blessing to. Now that doesnt stop others from asking for Faith and salvation, as no one will be turned away. Some however are chosen, the elect, for the glory of God.

Why would you ask him a question like that. Now i might be wrong, But his testimony had nothing to do, with being "born from Above", but it seem that maybe a unction or a hint of something different from a outside force, that he did not understand, but a since of pondering of a divine nature. So very glad to here that. So you were too young to understand it all. But it happens, I have herd, over the years, it happens to even the very young. There is a scripture I have read that talks about changing your disposition or mind set towards God. At that point He gives us Faith and from there we believe. It can happen anywhere and any time.
Sounds to me it may have happened to you on that walk that day.
It happened to me at 54, while sitting on top of a Deer Stand. I Just sat there in silence and it just came to me to tell God I have everything but I'm missing something and that must be you ; please come into my heart. And that is where everything spiritually in my life started happening. Like you said : it is much too long to put here.
But, I know this, when you struggle the most, when Satan tries to creep in, just go back to that day you first believed and the Holy power of good intention overcomes all that may be negative in your life.
You know, as hard as it is to comprehend, God knew all about you and me before the foundation of the world. What a God!

All I can say my friend salvation is up to God; it is not always "fully recognizable " by humans. It could very well be that He wanted a change in his life and it is very possible that he was "Born Again" on that walk that day ! I don't know, I'm not God, but I was drawn to discuss that with him!

ok, I fully understand what you are saying, and through out the years i have heard so many "testimony's" of all kind's. And when they don't tell you from the beginning, that , this is how I remembered how they got saved. You just say ok. I have heard, they have always been saved, i heard they confessed before the church, I got baptize when i was baby. i always went to church, I accepted Jesus, when I joined the church. I join the church and I started crying. And that is far as it go's or gets with their testimony. Or I always had the "Holy Spirit". You know like John the Baptist.

My problems was I had a "Miraculous conversion" and I thought that is how everyone got converted. I had a Paul on the "Damascus Road" type experience!, " The Day of Pentecost" "Cloven with tongues of Fire"! was my experience. At my place of Employment. I made sure Everybody knew about "Jesus" that day at work, White, black, yellow,, Serbians, Czechoslovakians,,YUGOSLAVIANS, GREEKS, ITALIANS, Germans, Spanish Americans, and Tennessee and Kentucky Hillbilly's and Red necks, dope addicts, weed smoking, Acid & Purple Haze dropping Hippies, found out who Jesus was that day! I was so on fire that day, The owners and broad members told "Supervision" and My "biological" father to leave me only! I preach "Jesus"! I saw Him, his eyes, his hair, his tears, his blood and He called me by MY NAME! I WAS ON FIRE! by the Spirit of GOD. I even saw Hell fire, I could hear the roars of the "lake of Fire and Brimstone"! People and friends and their children would come back and tell me they would Jump up in the middle of the night, in nightmares, screaming and hollering, Help me Jesus, save me from the "Wrath to COME", they could feel the heat that i felt in my visions. And we would Laugh! that was the late 70's.

Now you can see why I thought everyone conversion was like that. I didn't know no better , i was not a church member, i didn't read no books or followed no bible teachers. and sure was not listening to no pastors, or deacons or evangelist. I didn't trust done of those type of people and told GOD i Didn't. I told Him if he is real, He had to reveal Himself to me, Himself. I don't trust no church, no pastor, no deacon, no bible school teacher.. He did, When that "HOLY Ghost" hit me I didn't know what this thing was, but i knew it was GOD. I prayed more prayers that i can count. Teach me Lord, guide me, for I am a "Pilgrim] in a strange Land". among strange people. Please don't let me read the wrongs books, that would lead me astray. Remove them far from me, as far as "the east is from the west". let me not even entertain their thoughts! I would not pick up a book without praying 1st. I would not read any part of the Bible without Praying 1st for guidance. If i pick up the bible 5 times a day, I PRAYED 5 times a day just for looking at a verse in the bible outside of my regular prayers thought out the day

I consider my self as having a "Mountain-Top " experience but I don't say that much anymore because no one listened any way. When it happened, I had this thirst like a spring welling up in me for the word. The very first thing I got from the word was confirmation that what was going on with me was real... and I had to tell everyone ,and I did , but many did not want to listen....guess they thought I was supposed to be perfect or something and I wasn't, so they didn't believe me and moved on! But, I have found something very interesting, when I doubt, or something negative is going on, I just go back to that day when I first believed and the Devil just goes away!

Yes, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we are without sin, we lie and the truth is not in us. We are to reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

No believer would use the knowledge of God's imputation of righteousness as a licence to sin, but will be sincerely grateful for God's wondrous grace, and will seek to walk worthy of such.

your testimony is not to dissimalar to mine, and to this day it grows stronger and stronger. I don't evangelize but do share the word when possible, and have a very close bond/relationship with my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (He just cried out, "you are the temple of the most high!")

Yes, of course, for I have also been saved by God's grace, and know that my sins have been forgiven me, and that the gift of righteousness has been imputed to me, on the basis of the sacrificial work of Christ on my behalf.

Those who have not been saved by God's grace, remain in their sins.
