There were 6 committees of many people who worked for several years to get the KJV into print and available to read. And That entire process had to be okayed by King James 1. Back in That day -- Any material that was printed Had to have his okay or it couldn't be printed.

The Bible that you cherish -- that Lots of people read -- went through a lengthy process to get to us.

The best way to get rid of such evil spirits is by not letting them even get close to you in the first place! It's too complicated to discern if what you've got is an illness or a spirit or both. Sometimes you just inherited a disease, sometimes you were just harassed by spirits and sometimes you're possessed by any of them. This is not a matter of possessing this so called evil item that was "cursed", it's about how much power do you let them exercise on your soul. There are people that have more faith in the paranormal events and devilish manifestations than in Christ. There are case where the so called possession is psychosomatic in nature, especially if the afflicted people had visited so called hiptonizers and fake "exorcists".

The only thing I don't especially agree with is your comment regarding hypnotists -- there is genuine hypnosis that is very good / helpful. And there are those can't be hypnotized. And there Are problems with going to them. Just depends on the situation.

A born-again believer Can't be possessed by a demon. oppressed, yes, but not Possessed.

There Are missionaries who are called to various countries where there Is demonic activity. But they are there under God's power, Not their own. And it's dangerous business.

And we are NOT to keep company with those who Do.

Sometimes evil spirits manifest Sue, and when they do, they need to be dealt with, and they're dealt with using the Word of God and facing them down. a person who has spent many years exploring scripture has fed on understandings and when those understandings are needed they are brought to mind by the Holy Spirit. A believer who has fed on the word for several years, would be astounded at the amount of scripture the Holy Spirit can bring to mind.

But I really don't believe that anyone should go after evil spirits to try to do anything with them. If a person can lead that person to Christ, that would be the solution.

In over fifty years I've met a couple, they manifested in people who came to fellowship. They weren't pleasant encounters.

Paul was in fact distressed when a girl possessed by a familiar spirit started advertising his ministry and he cast such a familiar spirit out of her. God’s ministry does not advertise or make money, if this ministry spreads, its through word of mouth and not self advertising.

You're right Enxu, there are many charlatans who become millionaires with private planes and large estates, but I don't believe true believers would be taken in, even though their meetings are often full to overflowing. I once went to a meeting lead by Benny Hinn. He performed many 'miracles' and he blew on a whole section of the audience and they collapsed, but I didn't get a witness on it. He didn't have the humility of Jesus, he was arrogant and he strutted like a peacock. I was pleased when it became time to leave.

We should be moving in the Spirit Sue, and if that entails dealing with the enemy, in any form, then that's what we are called to do. I didn't ask evil spirits to turn up at our meetings, but a couple did and we had to deal with them. As for Benny Hinn, I had never heard of him, we were invited to one of his meetings being assured that he was the real deal. It wasn't until I saw and heard him that I realised that he was, in deed, not the real deal. By this time our fellowship were seated in the midst of a packed auditorium and, I was interested to find out the reaction of our group regarding his 'ministry'. It made for interesting discussions.
