Sorry to hear that, I would have thought all scripture would be worth considering and to get hung up on scripture, for a Christian, I find surprising.

Sure, may not be that easy but I will give it a go.
First of all we have to go on the premise that God is good and, I think, there is no bad in him...it can't even exist ! Then Psalm16:2 and James 1:17 are definitely true. In Romans 8 : 28, "All Things" can only be all things good!

If scripture means, only all things good, Born Again, then why was that not specified? The scripture actually says 'All things work together for good for those in Christ Jesus', surely that means all things 'good and bad' work together for good for those in Christ. Otherwise it can't make sense, when I came to Jesus, I was not good, there was much bad in me, therefore that must have been included in the makeup of me coming to Christ. Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him. So here we have my father in heaven giving gifts to me who is evil. And finally, if God is the creator of all things, he must be the creator of evil. After all, he created Satan, and being God, he had to have known the consequences of that.

What don't you understand about Omnipotent . My God perfection and there is no bad in him; to think differently is not to know who He is and that is the same in any language!

Many have the 'Almighty Living God' locked in a pretty box with pink ribbons around it, unable to be allowed to get involved with an evil world, where evil things happen. To them he is too frail to be able to deal with them, he can only be allowed to surround himself with niceness. My God is a mighty warrior who marches in front of his people. And his enemies tremble with fear at the thought of him. He is not hidden from evil, he faces evil with the sword of truth and conquers it and beats it into submission. When the demons faced Jesus, they shook with fear," what do you want with us Son of God?" they shouted, "Have you come to destroy us." No! Our God is Mighty.

You see it as you wish 'Born Again'? The God I follow isn't frightened to get his hands dirty, he gets involved as he has been recently in Israel.

If all things, are only all things good, then by definition, they can't be all things, only all good things, and that is not what was written.

You have to be called according to His purpose for the "all things work together for good to those who love God " to apply.
