Joash began to rule over Judah in the seventh year of King Jehu's reign in Israel. He reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother was Zibiah from Beersheba. All his life Joash did what was pleasing in the LORD's sight because Jehoiada the priest instructed him. 2 Kings 12:1-2 NLT

A disciple is one who wants to learn. The person teaching is one who chooses to pass on what they know. The disciple needs help and the teacher offers help. From a strictly human standpoint, the primary winner in this scenario is the disciple.

Take King Joash for instance. He is remembered as a good king, but the Bible credits the one who helped the young king learn to follow God and obey His commands. Jehoiada the priest made a long-term investment in the king’s life.

He wasn’t the only one to make such an investment. Moses invested in the life of Joshua. Elija invested in the life Elisha. Jesus invested three action-packed years into the lives of His disciples. Barnabas invested in the life of Paul.

Many men will say that when someone helped them in their spiritual journey, it led to significant change. Such relationships can accelerate growth and keep God at the forefront of personal decision-making.

Who has invested in your life? With whom will you invest time, talent, and treasure?

Prayer: Dear God, I need to remember that You created mankind for relationship. Help me know when to share and when to learn.

Greeting brother, many thanks for this very important message.

Who has invested in your life? With whom will you invest time, talent, and treasure?

God is the one who invests everything, even the death of His Son, into our lives. The question is what do we do with the gift God has given us to invest our lives in.

Has he invested into us, difference portions of gold as in the parable of the talents? If so what have we done with them, will the master be pleased?

Every day we are blessed, God provides us with enough for what we need for the day, 'Give us this day our daily bread' He provides for our needs, not our wants, our daily needs are money, food, drink, clothing, heating, etc. But we are also left to use them wisely.

God has given us treasure, do we look after it and gain interest? Matt 25:14-30.
God has given us all talents, do we use them to the Glory of God and help others, to love and show mercy to others? Luke 10:36-37,
God has given us time, do we use it to help others, do we use it for others or ourself, how much time do we invest in the Lord? Psalm 37:5

Everything we do should be Planned and Priorities carefully

Proverbs 24:27 (NKJV)
Prepare your outside work, Make it fit for yourself in the field; And afterward build your house.

Luke 14:28-30 (NKJV)
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it--
lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.'

What ever we do we should do it with the Lord's Blessing

Psalm 37:5 (NKJV)
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Everything we do God sees

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NKJV)
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
So let each one give [their time money and talents] as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
