Hi all
I just wrote a little snippet on the beast to help people understand.
Wish I hadn't
I will now give you scripture and verse on the matter at a later date.

If you don't believe me, just look and read some of the posts written
on this forum, maybe then you will recognise the beast within.
Christians?

Your opinion as to the understanding of Scripture is as valid as any ones .

Hi Reba 1
I agree and I look forward to your contribution in the explanation
of the book of Revelation

Well -- God's Word Does tell us about it -- which is why we're supposed to read it. And share what we're learning. There ARE those who believe that everyone Will still be here for all of that.
Well if , those who think they are still going to be around here, they “WILL be worshipping the Beast”! Or He is going to “KILL” you! You said share what we have “read”, well I’m sharing! “READ”:
(Revelation 13)NIV.
15The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads,

It said: ALL. In other words All who refuse to worship the beast will die!
Then ALL the rest will be force to receive the Mark on their right hand or forehead!

I am not going to be here!! Because, I’m catching “The Morning Train”! Because I got my ticket! I am going to be sitting down At the “Dinner Table”! You can stay here and ride that beast until the cows come home, if you want too! I’m moving on down the “Kings highway”.

Going to chapter 16 "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
vs 2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

Going Back to chapter 14 :9 ' Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice. "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or his hand, he, himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb."

vs 11 "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

Sounds like there will be a great deal of pressure To take the 666. And it sounds like those who Do accept Jesus Christ during this 7 yrs. will probably be martyrs.

And Then a question would arise -- who is going to be alive during the next 1,000 yr reign of Jesus Christ? Apparently the children who are left and grow up and have families. Satan is bound and can't influence during all that time.

There Will be the 144,000 sealed Jews who apparently live through those 7 years and populate the earth.

There is no confusion concerning all of those events! I remember you did say you are a “pre-tribulation”. Although I do know for sure, that some are all over the board! That is why I don’t even deal with them. I am part of the pre-tribulation group who just read, The Bible as a whole a lot,, and do not cherry pick to paint the picture and things fall in place. We look at no ones views, no ones interpretations, no commentaries, and everything in the Revealing of Jesus Christ makes sense. I was pre-tribulation when I didn’t know of such a term exists . And I haven’t change in over 40 years. Never took a “Revelation class” never hear a Revelation sermon”. But have heard a number of times the readings in expository form. But never of such in the form of ‘this is what this means”. Far as questions concerning The Book of Revelation I have no questions. I understand the book. The only thing I have problems with in reading it, the “Anointing” is so strong I can read it in a few hours and complete it.

Hi PloughBoy,
You say you understand the book of Revalation,
Don't you think it's time for you to expound to others your understanding.
It would be a great help for people and me to hear the truth of Revalation.

Then -- what exacting Is the point of this particular thread?! At the start of it you wanted to know if anyone / how many would be interested in reading through Revelation and comment on it -- the main theme Of Scripture is salvation. But a person either accepts or rejects it. When we read Scripture -- Any Scripture -- there is the desire to share with another person or group of people what you've learned / understand. That's what Sunday School classes / Bible study groups / forums are about.

If you really do actually understand everything in the book of Revelation, then you have more going on than the rest of us do. Aren't we all supposed to be continually learning ?! From God's Word / from each other?!

And we all go through stuff in our lives that influences what we're understanding

I have never directed any person to follow a man’s teaching or to a church teaching of “Holy Scripture” but I have always directed a person to read their own bible and let The “ Holy Spirit” guide you into All truths. And trust no man. I raise my children not even trust me or your mother. But honour us, but put your trust in the word of God with all your heart, but trust your parents in light of “Holy Scripture”!

Take a look at 2 Timothy 3:15 and 16 - well - section starts with vs 14
"But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction , for instruction in righteousness.

Now, those may feel free to post what ever they please. The “Read”is over” enjoy!

Hi PloughBoy
Taking your word as true, that you understand the book of Revalation,
As you started the thread, I'm sure we are all eagerly waiting for your
explanation as to the book, so please you go first with your explanation.

I Thankyou for this thread as I have never properly studied it before.

I am no teacher, neither am I a explainer of the “Revealing of Jesus Christ”. He is,...... I’m just a person who points to the text, and tells a person to read it for themselves and the “ Holy Spirit” will teach and guide you into all truth.
I am a not “Rabbi”. “Neither do I want to be”. Many have tried to put that garment on me. And Neither do I judge another.

(2 Corinthians 2).
15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
. “I loveth” Oh How I Love His Word!!! In my earliest days, I use to grab it and put my arms around it and hug it as i laid my head on my pillow and fall a sleep. “That New Scofield study system references bible “copyright 1967” oh how sweet it was, to me!! The Sweetness Has never left. The Oil still flows! The Richness keeps getting more “Richer” than the day before! Oh Bless the Lord with all of my, my soul!

I am not asking you to teach me anything just share your thoughts.

The funny thing about Scofield's notes is how mush they have changed since his death .

I really wish I did have some thoughts about “Revelation” but I really don’t. Nothing really comes to mind. I just know that when I always read the Bible from front to back when I would get to “Revelation” I understood it more. Then after I few years of reading it from front to back. Then I saw the pattern each read showed me more. I started to see the over lapping parallels of the “prophetic books” and “Revelation” and the difference between the “Oliver Discourse” in the Gospels and the “Pre-Tribulation” and the “New testament church” and the Redemption of “Natural Israel” and those who are redeem out of the 1 thousand year reign of Christ”. And all is “compiled” in the “Revealing of Jesus Christ” [since he came to Earth as a baby until He returns all back into His Father’s hands]. “Revelation” is the Omega book of this life as we know it. Then GOD the Father will make ALL things Brand New! For in which there will be no End! We will live in eternity, we will live in HIM as long as HE exists we will exists and HE is “Infinite”!
Really hard to explain, the picture is of the whole Bible flash through your brain or spirit like a flesh of light and you see it! Or know it. But there are no words to describe it. You just say “Oh” or a low “wow”! “I did my best, those are my thoughts”. Kept these things to myself,
continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Shalom

One of the things I find interesting are the letters to the seven churches in Asia. And that pastors / people in various churches / can and Should compare themselves Now To those churches. How are 'we' in God's eyes.

Hi Sue,
I believe that there is a message for all of us and the church
As John stood on the sand of the sea( shaky ground that some of our houses
or lives are built on). Unsound spiritual life.
Jesus is shouting to us loudly at us (as a trumpet) so that we will listen, because
Of His love for us.
John looked back to see that it was Jesus Him self THE ROCK.

I believe we should all look back to Jesus as to when we were first
called, particularly us older Christians, I believe if we look back we
maybe smile, or have a few tears, some may have to start again.
BECAUSE WE HAVE LOST OUR FIRST LOVE.
With Love, Wnl

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Rev 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

I think most Christians understand Scripture from Scripture Below is the list of the verses using the term shortly . It is a simple list to read the context the references are listed.

Act_25:4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
Rom_16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
1Co_4:19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
Php_2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Php_2:24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
1Ti_3:14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
2Ti_4:9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
Heb_13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
2Pe_1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
3Jn_1:14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.
Rev_1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Rev_22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
