What is the mind of Christ and how do we attain it?

Please be more specific.

Faith comes by "A" hearing, ""A" hearing by the word of God.

The Greek word that is used in Rom. 10:17 is a courtroom hearing.

So if your understanding is correct, and Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God, that would mean you are judge and jury, and Jesus is on trial.

Are you okay with that? Is it ever ok to put God and His word on trial?

There Are various ways the word 'hearing' is used. For instance -- I'm now' hearing'Christmas music on the radio. And the court 'hearing' will be tomorrow.

And when I'm in church I'm 'hearing' the Word of God preached / taught.

I just looked up 'hearing' in my Strongs -- Romans 10:17 it's 189 -- looking it up in the Greek part of Strongs -- akoe -- from 191 akouo

189 " (the act, the sense or the thing heard) -- audience, ear, fame, which ye heard, hearing, preached, report, rumor

191 " akouo " a primary verb; to hear (in various senses) -- give (in the ) audience (of) come (to the ears) , ( I shall ) hear (-er, -ken) be noised, be reported, understand."

Are You okay with That?

In my Strong's, it says " compare to a courtroom hearing". So a go back to my questions. Is it ever ok to put God and His word on trial?

So Now we're going to have a dispute over which Strong's is correct?!

Mine is The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible -- it's a big very thick dark blue book.

I've shared with you exactly where I've gotten my definition from.

This is where the experience comes in. Without fulfilling pisteuo in the same way, the correct way, we can't discuss scripture.

This is why I camp on the word pisteuo until it's agreed upon.

Exactly what 'experience' are you talking about. Are you referring to the 30 years or so that you've studied that particular word?

I've been a born-again believer since I was a teenager. I've grown up in God's Word.

But You're saying that I have to understand that particular Greek word , the Correct way or we can't discuss Scripture ---- well -- That is your choice.

I've shown you where / how I got the definition of 'hearing' -- but it's Your way or the High way. Well -- happy travels.

The Strong's says specifically, " pisteuo means NOT just to believe."

But you say," pisteuo means exactly just to believe."
So simple a child can do it I think you said.
That is the problem!

The experience I'm referring to, is fulfilling pisteuo, a Continually surrendered life, done in secret between us and God. Without this specific Faith life, were on different paths.

Saving Faith " pisteuo " is not in God's word, it's in God Himself, a real living person!

It's sounds like you're trying to use your knowledge of Greek to say things it isn't really saying.

I'm going to bed.

Remember, as the result of a Continually surrendered life, we have a " secret " relationship with Christ. So your seeing me try and convince you by using basic understandings of the Greek, but I also have 33 years of doing exactly what I'm sharing with you. Hence, 33 years of a secret relationship with Christ that I can't use to persuade you.

Hands tied, feet hobbled, and I'm still trying to persuade you. Why? Because when we meet on the other side, there will be many who ask me why I didn't try harder! This is me trying harder.

Faith and faithing as I've correctly shared with you "is" easy, it's just hard to do! You know the true path now, so a choice must be made.

Rom 12:3; For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

God gives everyone faith. He doesn't withhold it from anyone. Some just choose not to exercise it.

Why should a born-again believers relationship with Christ be a 'secret' relationship. It IS our own Personal relationship with God made possible through Jesus Christ. But why should it be seen as a 'secret' relationship? The Holy Spirit puts within a believer the desire to Share with others. And that's the idea behind believers' baptism by immersion. We want to be identified with Christ as a believer in a public way.

And, as a born-again believer , a goal would be a surrendered life -- you emphasize a Continually surrendered life.

When a person is out in their community with a job or being around other people -- their Christian life should Not be a secret. People around us should be able to see a Christ-like person in us.

It Should be something that comes Naturally to us. We shouldn't feel like we Have to Continually Surrender to Christ in order to Continually be 'saved'. Because That comes across as not having security in our eternal place in heaven when it's our turn to die physically.

You are basing a LOT on One Greek word that You feel isn't being translated into English correctly. And THAT is in Spite of my sharing exactly how I found the the Greek definition of 'hearing' and Your translation did Not make sense in the passage you were sharing.

Maybe you simply don't like a woman sharing back with you?!

If we have to tell someone we are a born again Christian most likely we are not! The life of Jesus should be manifest in our mortal bodies unto all! (2 Cor 4:10)

Every human being exercises hundreds of acts of Faith all day long. Your statement proves how removed society is from a correct understanding of pisteuo.

So we're validated by the world that hates us? Never been a big fan of that .

No, both woman and men skirt the altar " pisteuo " equally in my experience.

2Th 3:2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.

All men have "faith", but not all men have the "spirit of faith" (2 Cor 4:13) that comes from the "Word" of God
