Wow two extremes going on @Wired 4 Fishen

Thats way too cold...:crying:

I hear that much of the US has some dangerously cold weather going on right now.

Perhaps folks could post about it here.....as a matter for prayer.

I was down in Nogales Az last year and was talking with some Mexican boys...They said I was lucky because I live in a colder climate. I can put on more clothes but down there, where it's hot, one can only take off so much. I am blessed though, I thrive in the heat. I don't break a sweat till its over 140f

Actually I remember in the desert when it the heat starts to go into the 120+ you don't sweat.....so hot it evaporates as it leaves your pores!!!!

I did experience 145 once. Even the flies weren't flying that day!!!

I will add though, that I have seen many people sweating in that heat...The rule does not apply to everyone.

LOL....all I've seen of folks is the shirts wet then salty dry....which is the way to go...helps keep the moisture from escaping too much...otherwise the bare skin in that temperature I've never seen sweat until the temp starts dropping to the low 100's & teens. Still, in truth it is all relative..........hot is hot and cold is cold to what the body is used to.....I remember wearing this heavy jacket at night in the desert because it was so coldddddddddd.......a cold 95! :) Eventually went back home to DC where I was stationed at and in mid-July the temp was a city hot of 93 and everyone was wearing shorts etc....me? Long pants and a nice jacket with my pull over cap! Boy, the looks I was getting!!!!

LOL I get cold when the temps hit 70 I can imagine the guy with the Tshirt scraping the salt off his shirt to season his dinner. LOLOL OH! I didn't say that did I?

Never thought of that one. Salt off the shirt!!! I'll have to remember that if I'm ever in that situation again. Something less to carry since I'll already have it on me :)

Ya...As gross as it sounds, it's a viable alternative to no salt.

Does that leave you an alternate route in and out?
A few years ago we had a flood that wiped out two bridges. To go to our neighboring town, a mile and a half (3km) away, we had to travel thirty miles until they replaced them...Some four wheeling involved....It was nice for the drive, but if you had to hurry......

Hi Bendito

Theres not many routes in and out of where we are.

We had travelled yesterday before the fire started.,....but had to take a detour to get home of around an extra 75kms.....a bit tedious for the children!
