1 Jn 5:17; All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

It doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not, sin is sin. Now maybe you could argue about imputed righteousness and progressive salvation
if you want to. But the definition of sin never changes. All unrighteousness s sin... period.

Rom 7:7; What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."

The law tells us what sin is. Anything that opposes the law is sin. Adultery is sin. Murder is sin. Stealing is sin. Lying is sin. Fornication is sin.
Some people think that the definition of sin changes after you become a Christian, they say things like "it isn't, sin... it's just 'bad behavior'".
Bad behavior is sin... period.

There are a number of verses in the Bible that make it clear that continuing to live in "bad behavior" ... which is really sin, will keep you out of the kingdom of heaven.

Gal 5:19; Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20; idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21; envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

It doesn't matter if you believe in Jesus or not. It doesn't matter if you call yourself a Christian or not... if you "practice" these things, you don't inherit the
kingdom of God... period.

1 Cor 6:9; Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
1 Cor 6:10; nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:11; Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Again, it doesn't matter if you believe in Jesus or not, it doesn't matter if you call yourself a Christian or not. If you are living in sin, you don't inherit the kingdom of God... period.

Heb 10:26; For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27; but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.

Yes there is forgiveness, grace and mercy... but that doesn't give us a license to freely sin.

So you believe a Righteous man "CAN" develop evil fruit (which is sin), and a sinner "CAN" develop good fruit (which is Righteousness)?

Jam 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.

Rom 6:20 For when you were the servants of sin, you were free/liberated from righteousness.

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Have you "been" (past tense) healed from your sins (plural) by Jesus who has come to heal the sick from their sins?

After you came to Jesus to get healed from the sickness of your sins and you became healed and made whole from sins becoming born again, are you saying you can continue to get sick after Jesus healed you the first time? Are you saying when Jesus heals a person Satan's ability is greater than Jesus' ability to to heal you from sins forever as scriptures teach?

Luke 15:7
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety and nine "just" persons, which need "no repentance."

Who are the just person's in this parable? I'll just tell you... They are Christians. Christians do not need to repent from sins because they "ARE JUST" and are in the body of Christ not needing to become saved and born again from sins. There is joy in heaven over one "SINNER" that repents. Believers are not sinners.

1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abides for ever.

God's incorruptable seeed abides in you forever because He has forgiven you of sins forever.

I had to read your post twice before I liked it. At first I was nervous as most who state 'sin is sin' soon thereafter try justify why their sin is acceptable. Example ''We all have sin, this guy watches occasional porn and I ''cough cough'' molest children. Sin is sin. Don't judge me''.

It is paramount to state and make clear to the audience we preaching too that 1. Sin is Sin and 2. There are degrees of sin. As your first scripture said, sin unto death and then sin not unto death 1 John 5:17. Matt 5:28 plus Matt 5:32. Preaching only Matt 5:28 as many do, is preaching a half truth.

You guys do not know what Jesus has done for you on the cross.

These verses teach you exactly what principle thing Jesus has done for man. Jesus came to “TAKE AWAY OUR SINS.” The reason believers “in” Christ do not sin is because they are in Him where there is no sins. If you sin, you are of the devil who is the influences of the flesh which you say you sin because you are in the flesh. You know it's the devil working in you and you agree with the devil and do not agree with Jesus. Whether one sin, habitually or in practice; you are of the devil if you sin. Jesus does not sin so sin comes from the devil and youth know this mannnn. This is why Jesus was manifested to take away sin. Either he did or He didn’t.

1Jo 3:5 And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

1Jo 3:6 Whosoever abides in Christ sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jo 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus took all the works of the devil upon Himself when God put all men's sins upon Jesus. Because of this God sees Jesus and not man where sin is concerned. This is why God is not imputing sin unto believers because He put them on His son.

2Co 5:21 For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

If you are the Righteousness of God "in" Christ Jesus, you are Righteous and cannot sin. You cannot be Righteous and a sinner. God is not telling you that you sin and proves it by not imputing sin unto you. Only God can tell you that you sin.

in the above scripture we have Paul addressing believers and warning them NOT TO SIN like the pagans do, and tells them if they do SIN they will be punished, And if you reject that teaching you are rejecting GOD period end of story !!!

notice the word ALL Paul uses, that word ALL means all that is everyone, it does not mean believers get a free pass to sin and non believers get punished it means whether you are a believer or not a believer if you are sexually in- moral ALL will get punished.

this nonsense about a free pass to sin that is going around social media is everywhere, and it is simply a lie from the devil.

What will the truth of Jesus make a person "free" from?

Romans 6:20
When you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.

But now being made "free from sin," and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Every Christian has been "made free" from the sin they inherited from Adam as Jesus has promised and have been liberated once for all. A person that say they are born again and commit sin, John warns them confirming what Jesus said; telling them who they are serving as a servant.

1 John 3:8
He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

The works of the devil have been destroyed by Jesus Christ when He condemned sin and death on the cross and made every man free; giving them the Gift of freedom from sins and power over the devil.

Ephesians 2:8, 9
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

This is the time when Jesus washed our sins away.

I see you taking out of context what I've said. A sinner cannot stop sinning, only Jesus can deliver a sinner from sin and He has. If a man does not believe Jesus has delivered them from sin, that person is still in sin and the bondage of it. A person is in bondge because they sin. As 1Corinthians 15:17 says, that person's faith is in vain and they are still in their sins. Jesus said whoever commits sin is the servant of sin (Joh. 8:34). I don't understand why you would desire to refuse freedom from sin and the consciousness of it and accept the torment that sin brings to you. You can't have peace when you sin because there is no peace in sin. Jesus died to give you peace and you continue to refuse to accept it and would rather believe you are a sinner.

Now there can only be one truth which means the other perspective is a lie.

Take some time to pray......ask the Lord to reveal the truth.....so that only the truth is written here. It is only the devil who will seek to cause division amongst the saints
