Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Faith comes by hearing the gospel of our salvation. Salvation comes by hearing that message, believing it, and then confessing it.
Nobody can have faith in Jesus until they "first" have the faith of Jesus, which comes by hearing the Word of God.
how do you think faith comes for healing?
1 Cor 12:3
Nobody can call Jesus Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. You are not saved because you believed. Because you confessed. You literally have the cart before the horse.
Jesus has to be revealed to us. We confess Him as Lord after this revelation. It can happen at the same time. The important thing to grasp is that if God does not reveal Himself to us, we can confess all day long and still not change one bit. Do you disagree?
Now the Christian position is one where they have been given this faith to believe Jesus is Lord, God. Has been resurrected, can and will wash us clean of our sins. We live and operate with this faith. This is not faith that needs to grow. We either have it or we don't. We can either truthfully call and know Jesus as Lord or we can't.
So our faith is not '''I believe I believe I believe'' brainwashing that Jesus saves us. It is an absolute faith. Like faith in gravity. Only called faith because God is currently residing in heaven.
Now you ask what faith we need for healing. Certainly not 'our' belief. You believe we save ourselves? We can affect our own healing?
Faith you need for salvation is faith in Jesus being Lord. Because if He is not Lord, His death was in vein.
Faith you need for healing is faith in the God you serve 1. Caring about you, 2. Having the power to heal. Both these we receive when we grasp what God did on the cross. His power and love is perfectly evident.
So, please answer my question. What faith is needed for healing? You don't want to say it. You are
evading. The word faith is like 'drive'. What car do you drive? Where do you drive it to? You can't say ''drive' / have faith''. I am just asking you, what car do you drive??? Where are you driving to?? I expect an answer like, A Ford Focus, driving to New York. Not quoting scripture that talks about driving.
Faith in what??????
If you cannot give a direct answer you leave the reader to assume you believe ''our'' faith saves and affects healing. That type of faith for healing is true for the unsaved. Like those at the time of Jesus who just wanted a miracle. This is NOT the case with Christians. Children of God. Those who walk and talk to Jesus all day. Not looking for a once off 'sign and wonder'. If a Christian lives like this or encourages other to live like this, how can I not question their Christianity? It is as if they don't know God...?
