The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
So what does it look like to love your neighbor as yourself? Because if you do not Love your neighbor as your self you are breaking the commandment. I fail short of this every day. God forgive me.
The greatest example I can find in scripture of loving your neighbor as your self would be from brother Paul. Paul to me is saying in the verse he would be willing to go to hell for his brothers if it would save them. Sorry I simply could not do that. I wish no one goes to hell, and I preach the gospel everywhere I go, but I am not taking anyone’s place in hell, I fail to love my neighbor as myself.
Romans 9:1-33 I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.
The book of Acts is another great example of what it truly means IMO of what loving thy neighbor as yourself looks like.
Acts 2:45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
Ok I sell a ton of stuff and give it to expand the kingdom of God and help the poor, but do I sell all my stuff nope I have failed to be perfect I failed to love thy neighbor as myself perfectly. As Jesus said.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.
Now how about another example . In my truck I carry homeless bags with me everywhere I go. I stuff them with various items depending on the time of year and such, the most important thing I put in there is a tract on salvation and Jesus. The second thing I put in the bags is information to local Christian ministries that may be able to help. When I give these homeless people the bag I fail to love them as my self, God forgive me. Because If I was to love them as myself I would not give them a bag, I would take them home with me feed them and clothe them and help them get back on their feet. I fail to love thy neighbor as myself.
Hopefully this clears up any confusions on what I meant when I said we all fail to love our neighbor as our selves. , I should of said I fail this everyday instead of ”we”.
I see loving my neighbor almost easy. I see loving my neighbor as myself on a whole different level that is much more difficult IMO.

Example of loving my neighbor as myself, taking homeless guy home with me and feeding him and helping him get on his feet.
Mr Bear I am sorry you thought I was judging others and putting myself on a pedestal in that other thread, I just do not have great writing skills and it must of come across as something completely different then what I was trying to communicate. Hoping this thread clears that up

I try to remember this to help keep myself humble at all things, o yea by posting things that I do I am in danger of pride I truly do not want to be prideful in this posting. Anytime I speak of my self I fear of being prideful. becuase when you are prideful I doubt you can actually see it for yourself.
