If God is the only one we should listen too, why should anyone listen to you, me, her or them.

God speaks through people, but we have to discern what is of God and what is not; what is in agreement with his Word, and what is not. Some preachers speak in the power of the Holy Spirit, and speak messages for our edification, while others speak from their own flesh and intellect and emotions, and what they say is contrary to the Word of God, or is twisted or half-truths meant to deceive and to distract people from the truth. But, this isn't just about preachers. Not everything people say is something we should listen to. We shouldn't listen to gossip, for instance. We shouldn't listen to blasphemy and false teaching and filthy language, etc. But, we should be good listeners, and we should show one another respect, but we can have differing thoughts and opinions on subjects and still love one another. But listening to one another and actually following what others say are two different things. When we say we should listen to God, we mean more than just listen with our ears or with our eyes (reading), but it means we take what he says to heart and we heed (obey) what he says. We should not obey everyone or follow everyone. We need to be discerning about what we believe and accept and follow.

Not everything that people say spiritually can be found within the bible, since the bible does not have everything pertaining to spiritual matters. If it did, you wouldn't need teachers and pastors, prophets and apostle's.

His people are those who have accepted Jesus as savior and Lord of their lives...Who follow Jesus in all of their lives. Those who refuse to do so, are still in the family of Satan.......So....Who's are you?

There is a huge difference between mans regretting his actions as apposed to God regretting his actions. God knows everything that will happen before it happens, and many times he has to correct, chastise, and sometimes punish people for their actions. He does not like to do those things, and regrets them, but he does them because he know the outcome if he does. Does that mean he would never allow certain things to happen again? Absolutely not, because he knows the end of all things!!
