did i commit the unpardonable sin HELP

Our Hope is Sure

Anyone else?

Charlie11,

Look at my first post on eternal security. Print it if you can. Since you have asked God to forgive your sins and accepted Jesus spirit into your heart or seat of emotion, God has imputed you with the righteousness of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will never leave you nor forsake you. Your Spirit's eternal life has already begun! Your flesh must still die and be changed to its sinless state at the resurrection.

You can not and will not commit the unpardonable sin because you are already pardoned!

hi amanda,

Tell us a little more. Maybe we can help you. This is very common for new believers. if you need to talk to someone you can reach me on skype @jesussaves001

also the story gets even longer for me also. i copy and pasted

Hello, I’ve been struggling with this fear for about a year now. I’ve hand memories come into my head and a OCD like attack of tormenting blasphemy, accusing or convicting me. A year ago I came to Christ , i was convicted of my sins, and convinced Jesus could forgive me, i was at so much peace, i felt so loved and believe i was filled with the spirit for 2 weeks, it was extacy, love ,joy ,peace, down to the depths i was at ease, i could of died it felt so good. then a few weeks go by and i come across this passage about blasphemy against the holy spirit. Then BAM FEAR like no other, my mind was saying you said these things, your not forgiven, your going to hell. you said these things about God. i never really believed in a God. ive heard about jesus but never read or believed. with all the different beliefs and religions and it seemed everyone had a God. There was days when i said i was christian, days when i thought we came from monkeys or ufo’s, even fell for the new age stuff for a week, days when i practiced native american stuff. But the day that i wanted the truth and started to look i knew the Bible was 100% true with out a doubt. I was convicted and read it all and was forgiven i thought. i repented with tears and fear and sorrow. and turned from my sins. it really changed my life to this day. i strive to never sin. i know that satan was once the strong man that ruled my life, i was a slave to him, i really want to believe i was yelling at him.But once i met jesus,oh my. i now know no darkness is in him, he is holy and thats the very least. its hard to comprehend how holy he is. but when i became a believer and was baptized i was filled so full, i dont have words to say. but i did see and witness the fruits of the spirit. he is so awesome. now i have come under attack, things trying to kill the joy i was given. not to long after i became a believer, this attack happened, then after that i was accused of murder. for months i lived in fear of this charge. then come to find out this was all a joke from a so called old friend that thought it would be funny to say i had something to do with someones death after i was in a fist fight a few years back. i hired a christian Private investigator and found out the truth, but the damage was done, i drank and smoked again. The attacks or convictions go like this. There are 3 memories of things I said. I’m not even sure I said them but that’s what my mind is saying or the voice. First one is I’m watching tv and someone was talking in tongues and I said that person was possessed. Second one is I’m driving down the road and it was around Halloween and these kids were dressed as devils at a church, I said there devil worshipers . The third one is. That I called god a evil spirit. I tried to remember why I’d say such a thing and I don’t even know why, I didn’t know who god was and after knowing him I couldn’t say them things, I think I was saying them things cause of how evil this world is. But it’s not him it’s the ruler of this age who is bad. Now I don’t believe these things. And like I said I don’t even remember if I said these things. I never knew much about God or Jesus because of all the different gods or religions . But one day I started looking for the truth about life and came to the bible after looking at many other religions and science theory’s. I’ve prayed a lot over this and tried to explain myself to the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Any help would be awesome. Prayers would be nice also, I’ve confessed and repented with tears and fear like no other to these things even though I don’t remember if I did them or not. Should I have done that? Please help.

Also, we are in the very last of days. God is calling all those to the truth. Says he will pour his spirit out, and from what i can see he is doing just that. Satan is also trying his best to destroy all who God is calling to repentance. When your blind to the truth you dont even know what kind of fight is happening here on earth, its so easy for satan to take us into bondage. But once he call's you and shows you, you will know it. You Will believe. And then you can fight the fight. Also we all have fallen short. That dont mean we can just give up and keep sinning. Its Jesus who has victory and he wants to share it with us if we claim his works and blood. i dont know what your going through but its very fearful. Talk with him and know that he loves you.

I thought I was born again and delivered for drug & alcohol addiction and lesbianism. Last oct nov I stated having these thoughts. A memory of masterbating in the shower and it seems like I knew was God was there but I quoted scripture about "commit all thy ways to The Lord" and I addes "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." I hope I just committed myself but if I really said that I committed that act there is no hope because that was a profane thing offered to the holiest of holies. that is what blasphemy is and whether I knew better or not doesn't seem matter. anyway if you could please pray and see what happens after. I want it to be that what I did was not blashemy against the holy spirit but if you find out otherwise please just tell me the truth. It seems that what is inside is condemning me. I just thought since I claim Jesus to be my savior and I got baptized and tried different churches I still got involved with women, drugs and alcohol. My mind wishes I could go back in time and make most of it not happen but of course that is why most people value life it seems I just wanted to be selfish and selfcentered most all my life doing what I wanted and to get what I want and I thought that since I don't kill people or gossip that I'm a decent person. I feel like I fell for every one of the devils traps and I am very ashamed, sad, and tormented night and day about it . I thought I was finally on fire for God and that I was going to help others see the light and get saved. Now it seems like I might have just gotten my own just desserts for my own sins. Anyway, I want to know the truth even if it doesn't set me free and please do let me know what God speaks to you in light of what I have revealed to you. I want to have hope because it says no one can come to Christ unless the Father draws them and that all who come He will in no way cast out and I want to be one of His, not just because I don't want to go to hell but because I have been a fool and I am ready to do the right thing if it is at all possible no matter what. I do thank you and I long to be free but even if I can't please just be honest with me. Amanda

ok, First off im so happy you want to be forgiven. Here is what jesus was talking about.

23And all the multitudes were amazed, and began to say, "This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?" 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This man casts out demons only by Beelzebub the ruler of the demons." 25And knowing their thoughts He said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself shall not stand. 26"And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?27"And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Consequently they shall be your judges. 28"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.29"Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31"Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32"And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come,

This sin is one that is spoken. Look i doubt you committed this sin, go and celebrate. Just keep fighting. Dont dwell on them thoughts or more just come, it will drive your crazy. what im starting to think is this sin is a believers worst fear and if you are sensitive to Christ and fear God these things can happen. Just obey his commandments When you fail, confess that you fail and ask for forgiveness. Look sex and money our the devils way of triping us up. And guess what they work well. i can look back and see when he tricked me into thinking these things were of importance. I will say a prayer, but let the scripture do the talking. its right up there, see for yourself.

Also if anyone can chime in on what i posted above and help me!!!

Have a good night thank him amanda

Thank you very much I appreciate all the help I can get. This has been tormenting me for months. I am trying to speak the Word of God against my mind and this terrible condemnation. I'm really not strong at all and with these thoughts readin the bible is more condemning than freeing. Thank you all though I don't want to give up!

Mira, have you ever had somebody that wanted to befriend you and they just came on too strong for lack of a better word? If you did, do you remember how arkward it was?

Hi all,
I have been away for quite a while, but I am back to give anyone that might be interested an update to my original post on blasphemous thoughts, and to try and comfort some of the people that I see here and elsewhere that are struggling with this.

It has been approximately 15 months since the thoughts first started with me, and I have learned a lot of things along the way. First and foremost, we have no idea how much God loves us, how much He longs to save us, to forgive us, to heal us, to show us His plenteous mercy, and to hold us tightly in His arms and never let us go like we're the most precious things in the universe to Him.
All of that is true.

I eventually learned through this trial I was and to some extent are still in, that we give the devil far too much attention and ascribe far too much power to him, when all that should be given to The Captain of the Hosts, the Almighty Jesus Christ. He is the One who, with just the brightness of His coming alone, can and will destroy His enemies. Not to mention, He has already defeated the devil at the cross and we have full victory in Him.

The thoughts are very tortuous to us, and cause us much anxiety, distress and fear, so I am not meaning to minimize what people suffering with blasphemous thoughts are going through. Because I have been there, and I wish it upon no one, and I ache for the people that are presently going though what I went through. BUT, having said that, it is not a gloomy story, because as the bible says in 1 John 5:4

4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

So we, by faith, have victory over the world, including the devil. He attacks our minds, but cannot touch our souls. Our bodies are just temporary tents for the real us, and that is all the enemy is allowed to touch. So we by faith trust in our Trustworthy Lord to deliver us from all that seek to harm us. And it is no the strongest faith when it is easiest to have faith, but when it is hardest to. So, as the Apostle Paul said, we glory in tribulations, and I thank God that He has given me this great trial, one which He has promised to not only see me through, but to bless me for it, by my keeping faith in Him even when it may seem hopeless to do so.

The blasphemous thoughts that attack God's people are a trick of the devil into trying to make us think there is something can separate us from the Lord, when of course, there is nothing that can. My advise to all my fellow brothers and sisters that are suffering with this affliction, is to always cry out to the Lord. No matter how condemned you feel, the Lord is mighty to save and delights in mercy. NO EXCEPTIONS. As others have stated, all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and He will in no wise cast anyone out that comes to Him. PERIOD. There are no exceptions; call upon Him and say, "I feel condemned Lord, but I trust in you and call upon your mercy". And He will give it you, because that is His character to do so.

Not to mention, He doesn't hold us accountable for unwanted thoughts in the first place! So take heart, brethren! If you are suffering attacks of satan, you are suffering on account of your being Christ's child. And what did Jesus say we should do when we are reviled and mistreated and persecuted on account of Him? REJOICE !! Rejoice that God has allotted us the privilege to suffer for His sake. Great is your reward for keeping the faith no matter what.

If you're feeling that your heart is condemning you :

[h=3]1 John 3:20
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.[/h]We don't trust our thoughts or feelings, we must simply trust God. He knows all things. Do you love Him? He knows that. I can't count how many times I told God early on in my struggle that I don't mean the thoughts and I love Him. Like He didn't know that, like He would go, "oh, thanks for that info". Because at the start I was gripped by fear and torment, which is the enemy's goal, but by God's grace (which is sufficient for us) I starting leaning on God's perfect love which casts out all fear.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

It took me a long time to get to where I am now, from where I was !!! Blasphemous thoughts intruding your mind against your will is a startling and horrible thing to go through, so it's easy to succumb to the fear and all that. But the more we trust God, the more we find deliverance. The thoughts have not come to my mind, except very sparsely, for many months now. I did nothing to effect this, it was all Jesus. I keep my eyes on Him the best I can when the waves of the storm are all but drowning me, and He makes sure that the worst they can do is spook me a bit, but they cannot harm me.

Maybe I am rambling on too much, but I hope someone reading this understands what I am getting at. miraclemandi, and anyone who wants to can pm me. We fight with spiritual weapons, and the war sometimes gets nasty, but God is our stronghold, our fortress, our deliverer, our high tower and our Rock that cannot be moved. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord Most High!

So just to wrap this up, always look to and at Jesus, not at the devil and his bow and little flaming arrows. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So run to your Abba Father and He will shelter you and protect you like nobody's business. He did for me, and who am I compared to any of my brothers and sisters here? On last piece of scripture that I like to think of as a spiritual warfare battle verse :

Hebrews 4:14-16 14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

If you desire forgiveness, then forgiveness is yours. Accept forgiveness for your sins if you think you have sinned. To do otherwise would be an affront to the limitless grace and mercy of God.

What a foul trick of the devil, to get us to believe that we are "too bad" for God! The devil has no power over us to make us damned. And he desperately wants to keep that fact from us. I will say one more time, call unto the Lord and He will come running to you. Your trial might not end as quickly as you'd like, but you have His promise that He will not let it overcome you. Jesus does not lie, so take Him at His word! God bless and keep all of you, I hope this has helped.

I forgot to add, in all things, always praise God, and all the more so when we are in our deepest struggles and temptations. He is worthy of our highest praise, and a nice bonus is that it really ticks off the devil when we, instead of succumbing to despair and fear, praise the Lord instead !
