An Argument Againts Once Saved Always Saved

Jari: if we die spiritually this does not mean we have ceased to be God's child. Perhaps we are unable to walk in spirit then.
If we were to become unable to walk in the Spirit, according to my understanding of Romans 8, we would be forced to walk in the flesh, and that chapter tells us what would become of us.

Explain spiritual death to me, Jari. Could someone spiritually dead ever become not spiritually dead anymore?

But i dont think bible teaches anything else than that salvation is instant and happens when person is born again.
Well, I don't believe the Bible teaches instantly-permanent salvation. No offense, but your continued reassurance that it's in there does little for my believing what you say when verses similar to the following can be found all over the New Testament:

Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Jari: Also God never forsakes us... if we look at old testament there's God's word spoken to israelites, now what does that have to do with us? They werent born again. And indeed they lost promised land when they forsook God. These were all real life things for them, but how does that relate to us who have relationship with God? unlike they who were initially not born again and were given the law.
Since this thread was started with a post about injustice, I would like to point out something that repeatedly happens to me when debating and conversing about scripture. People that believe in Once Saved Always Saved always quote verses, and use the stories as examples, from the Old Testament to support their view, but when I use them to support mine, without fail, I'm always told that the Old Testament has nothing to do with us today.

James 2

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

This verse from Hebrews is the only time, in the New Testament, that states this about God not forsaking us, and when it says, "he hath said," it must be understood that it's something from the Old Testament since these words cannot be found anywhere else in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, God's not forsaking was conditional. This verse in Hebrews doesn't say, "... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. And this time he really means it." It stands to reason that the same conditions from the OT still apply here.

II Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Jari, so that I am not making any assumptions at all about your posting of this verse from II Timothy, I would like for you to explain what it is that you think this verse means, please.

I think its without condition that God doesnt forsake us. And if its with condition the condition is to become born again. And like i already said... The israelites were not born again so how can you apply the verse with its conditions (that you believe exists) to born again believers?

Galatians 2:17 isnt saying were not yet justified by God, If we are born again. We seek to be justified by Jesus , by faith and by grace alone.
And if person has accepted Jesus as their savior and gotten the faith then he's justified.

And thats why Paul asked is Christ minister of sin? If we are justified by grace. In other words are simply forgiven.

Look at romans 8 verse 9. it says we are in Spirit because God's spirit is in us.

romans 8:9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

To your question what this verse means:
II Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Once your God's own by rebirth (born again) your his child and even we would not believe he abides faithful because we are His children and He cannot deny Him self. Because if he did deny us or forsake us he would deny Him self.

About spiritual death i'd say yes person can be more or less alive in spirit....

i got scripture for you with commentary by eddieb. this pretty much shoots down in flames Once Saved Always Saved. check it out.

ezek 33:12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

this scripture makes my spirit glow within me with praise and thanks for his goodness to us. now continuing....

Ez 33:13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

this scripture makes my spirit bow down in humility and fear of Him and his soverienty. continuing....

Ez 33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

How precious. He took the time to SAY IT AGAIN.

Ez 33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

now dont pick apart my words here for being maybe not the best choice of words. i am not always good at communicating my thoughts. but it sounds like there is a condition here. and that condition is to not sin.

Ez 33:16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

wow none shall be mentioned unto me just-if-ied never sinned. so in conclusion the wages of sin is death, but if a righteous man fall 7 times he will get up. whats the moral of this post? dont believe everything thats preached and taught. take it to the scripture. take it to the author(and finisher) If just a man says it, no matter what the mans position on earth is. men will tell lies, even if they honestly believe the lie is true, where as God will never lie to you.

So, you're suggesting that believing is all that a person has to do to get saved in the first place, but after they are born-again they can decide that they don't believe after all and they are still going to go to Heaven, regardless? Jari, that doesn't even make sense. That beats almost everything that I have ever heard: Les Feldick teaching that a born again believer can even blaspheme the Holy Ghost and it be no big deal because they have already been forgiven for all sins is the number one most amazing thing that I have ever heard someone ( outside of just straight up cult doctrine ) teach, but what you have said here is not far behind it.

II Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

II Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

II Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: After having said this, the following verse cannot be interpreted the way that you are interpreting it. Choosing to not believe is denying him. Your interpretation contradicts everything about scripture.

II Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

You are basically saying that a person must become a believer to get born again but they can become an unbeliever and still go to Heaven ( I wonder how many unbelievers will be there? ) because they are a child of God at that point. Scripture plainly teaches that what makes a person a child of God is the fact that they do believe. You are taking your belief in 'Once Saved Always Saved' too far, Jari.

The issue that is paramount is whether the saving work of Christ on the cross includes the safekeeping of the one who trusts Him, or not. This is the central and precise issue in the controversy. Either Christ did enough by His death concerning the believer's sins that it can be said that "there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (though it is not said that there is no chastisement), or He did not.

i got scripture for you with commentary by eddieb. this pretty much shoots down in flames Once Saved Always Saved. check it out.In the end, according to this system man is his own savior.

Attempting to build the Christian's standing upon his feeble and faltering daily life, rather than on the sufficient and immutable merit of the Lord Jesus Christ.Salvation becomes little more than a system of human conduct; for, though the idea of regeneration is incorporated, it is, in the eddieb idea of it, of no abiding value, being supported only by a supposed human merit.

it seems your arguing against this verse by reading verse above and saying the later doesnt mean anything.... but is mere addition to the previous verse..... but i do believe it means what it says even taken out of context of the previous verse. I never actually said that if you have no faith of any kind at all that you are saved.
But when born again faith is strong and experiences real... so if we then disbelieve in our salvation God remains still faithful because He cannot deny Him self.

Thats the way I see it. Even we doupt even we disbelieve He doesnt forsake us ever.

We have different things in mind when we converse, Jari. But, I think that I am actually starting to understand a little about what it is that you do believe in. I do not understand someone being genuinely born again through faith, but doubting it later while remaining saved. The concept of this eludes me. The way that I see it is you either believe, or you do not. I have heard people say that it is common for people to doubt their salvation etc .... But, as common as this is, I do not see where it is covered in scripture anywhere. Could you point me to some scripture that covers someone being genuinely saved but doubting their salvation? Why wouldn't doubting your salvation put you in the category of people that never truly had saving faith to begin with?

I'm surprised that you see as doupting salvation some kind of sign of no salvation at all. Do you consider your self saved? are you sure?

Again i dont mean having no faith in God at all after born again. But i do believe God doesnt count doupts that come because of mere lack of knowledge against us.

its different to believe that your saved than to believe you remain saved as people tell you things that you can loose salvation. Which i dont believe is true.
And i believe God forgives if we doupt our salvation after being born again but it causes us to suffer if we dont quite know.

Jari

Jari: I'm surprised that you see as doupting salvation some kind of sign of no salvation at all.

I'll respond to this with words that you are familiar with: Faith that fails was faulty to begin with.

Jari: Do you consider your self saved? are you sure?

My salvation isn't determined by my believing that I am saved, Jari. My salvation relies on daily putting my faith in Christ. To answer your question, yes, I have a good conscience toward God at this time. I am "saved". And I never doubt where I stand with the Lord because I know when I've separated myself from Him, and when I'm close.

Let me ask you a question: Why do you think that God's one requirement for salvation is for us to just believe that He's offering it to us for free? If He loves us so much, and doesn't want us to have to try to do anything, or struggle in anyway, as you have stated numerous times, why do you suppose He even required belief for it? Why not just save everyone without any requirements, and make it that much easier for us? Why not send Jesus immediately after Adam and Eve fell so that everyone could be saved by grace and have it easy like you believe you have it? Why do you suppose that He made it so difficult for four thousand years worth of people, then turned around and gave this last two thousand years of people such an easy way out ( according to what you believe )?

The point is that Jesus himself told Nicodemus..."You must be born again" and there is just no way around that.
You must be born of the Spirit!

Does that mean we will now be perfect in everything we do, of course not, the blood of Jesus continues to wash us despite our faults.

Once you are born again, I see nothing in scripture that says anything about being un-born!

RJ

You continue believing what you believe, and I'll continue believing what I believe. We are both content with what we have. You're content with believing that with no effort on your part you'll become Christ-like one day, and I'm content with believing that He gave me instructions on becoming Christ-like and it's up to me to ask Him to help me with my effort in becoming so. But, I do play a part in my transformation, you do not. You say that believing like I do puts a person in bondage, worrying about slipping up all time. I say that Jesus does most of the work for me ( although I do have to ask Him to, and trust Him to ) so it doesn't feel like bondage at all.
It's difficult at first, but it is a death and should be expected. I know that you are convinced with all your heart that I am wrong, but I am just as sure that you are.

I John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I've never said one requirement is to believe its free. But i do believe its very important...
Most people who are saved accepted Jesus as their savior and become born again. If they later on think what they must do to keep their salvation it wont make them unsaved. In my opinion.

then there's people who never believed in Him as a savior but they just become a Christian.
And they never considered them self completely saved at any point.

Who says it was so hard for people 2000 years ago? I think you should study more on that topic before thinking like that. Because I dont know why you think like this. Just because they didnt have name Jesus?

I don't know how hard it was but I do know couple of things. People in OT who were not obedient was preached the Gospel by Jesus after He died before resurrection.

They (israel) was given law to live by and bible tells us this was never the best way indeed because it had become "weak". And thats laws purpose was to show were sinners.

And I trust God has all that that stuff figured out for how these people had change to be born again and what happened to pagan nations back then.

Maybe you should make a new topic if you want to discuss this more? I dont know what else to say. What matters is today and Jesus so i havent seen this as so essential question.

farout: I know of no one who can say that they do not sin daily.
Daily means every single day, farout. That's sad, and coming from a retired pastor at that. Telling people that no one can go even one day without sinning isn't very encouraging. This is the kind of thing that makes people say that people that believe in OSAS promote immorality—for those of you that can't seem to figure out where it comes from. I wonder how many professing Christians even attempt to resist temptation? What would be the point really, if you can't even go a day without sinning anyway? The Bible teaches us to endure temptation, but that does not mean falling into it and standing back up so that you can fall into it again the next time, and the next. So, you tell yourselves that God doesn't care because He has already forgiven us for our sinful natures? What sin is it that you people have to have every single day? Since you say that you know of no one that can say that they do not sin daily, farout, I'll say it for you: I do not sin every single day.

farout: But I am reminded that 1John 1:10 says that if we say we don't sin we are a liar.
That verse and your paraphrased version are completely different. We are warned not to use the Word of God deceitfully. This warning applies to everyone no matter what we believe about the permanence of our security.

farout: How can any human say they are in sinless perfection? Only Jesus Christ was sinless, and paid the required blood sacrifice for our sins. Sure sin causes distance from the Godhead. According to 1 John 1:9 & 10, it is anticipated we will sin. Jesus is accessible and faithful and perfectly sufficient to forgive our sins and to absolve us from all sinfulness. No one can say they live sinless, if they do that either Jesus or those who claim to be sinless are liars, such a person is not a born again Christian. (my paraphase)
Is that what that is, paraphrasing? This is the verse that follows I John 1:9-10

I John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

This verse ( along with so many others that I'm not even going to attempt to list them here ) doesn't make me think that God fully expects us to sin every single day. Only someone that believes in Once Saved Always Saved would say something like this, someone that doesn't want to stop walking in the flesh. And worse, someone that doesn't want anyone else to stop walking in the flesh either. I hope that God will have mercy on you for teaching his children, for so many years, that they could sin every day because God expects it.

Sticks,

Please go back to the original post for this thread.

My original post was not about supporting OSAS per se. The post was a request for people, such as yourself, to stop with the false accusations and catergorizing!...... An Osas'er who thinks the can just lay around and do nothing or, they don't care about their sin or, they think you can sin and get away with it or you can sin all you want....is a false statement.

That is a lie, the mere fact that I am a beleiver, prevents me from doing that...not my stance on OSAS. It is a non-beleiver that, though they may acknowledge they have done something wrong, they would never see it as sin against God........I do, despite my other beliefs.

And, here it is again: You say above that I am content in making no efforts....that is not true! Please go back and point out where I said that I am content in doing nothing!

My point is that it is not my efforts that count, it is allowing his works through me!! He is the vine and I am the branch, with out him I can do nothing. Like Paul says in Romans 7, that there is always this war raging in me where my flesh is doing battle with the spirit.

I am not in denial, I know that I am not capable of being perfect and doing his will all the time, that is just the human side but I know I am already forgiven when I am not perfectly doing his will 24/7.

I think part of what the Bible says about faith being dead with out works, comes after salvation and is now in the peresent. These works that we bare comes from the vine.

Only a believer recognizes his sin and that it is a part of having God in him and a fruit of the vine, not of our doing! Don't you know that God gives you your faith...it is not from you and yet another indication that you are baring his works and shows that you faith is alive?

For the all stereotyping about OASA'ers here at TJ, I have yet to find a believer in OSAS that fits any of those discriptions inside or outside of TJ!

Not necessarily you but, I have seen countless times those who are held in bondage to their own works. It goes like this:

Things are not working out right for me,I must not be doing enough or, I must not be doing the right things, I forgot to ask for forgiveness today and I don't feel clean or saved......and the the lists of negatives that people falsely put them selves into goes on and on. This is not what Jesus meant for the truth to set you free...not free to sin but free from the bondage of sin.

So back to my original Post, don't falsely categorize me or say things I believe, especially when you can't find a single thread where I stated any of those things!

If we were to become unable to walk in the Spirit, according to my understanding of Romans 8, we would be forced to walk in the flesh, and that chapter tells us what would become of us.
Stickz; it seems to me that, in the biblical sense, death means separation.
Physical death is separation of body and spirit; eternal death is eternally separated from God and spiritual separation is separated from God by sin.
being "born from above" (which is the literal translation from Greek) is becomming alive with God (having the relationship restored)
Now, either Jesus died to pay for all sin, or He only died to pay for the sins we have committed up til we are born again, therefore we have to fix the rest of the sins ourselves. Sounds like works to me.
As you rightly say, the interpretation of the verse can make the difference.
"Once for all" I believe the Bible says about Jesus death in relationship to our sins.
OSAS is a hotly contested doctrine, as is the prayer language in tongues is. Much depends on the teaching we have received of the dogma of the church or denomination we attend.

I have never met anyone who is OSAS that thought they could live in any fashion and be saved. The belief is that one who is saved has no desire to live that way. It is said that one who does go back to living in sin willfully was never saved in the first place.

The problem with those who believe OSAS is that they always state that one cannot live without sin in their lives and that is heresy punishable by eternal death. So when I work to persuade someone away from this heresy instead of 'agreeing to disagree', it is because I don't want them to perish.

You can stop sinning and you had better for your eternal destiny is in question if you don't. Sin or disobedience is unbelief which is the opposite of faith. You are saved by grace through faith not sinful disobedience.

What does it mean to stop sinning?

It means to become a follower of Jesus Christ by picking up your cross and denying yourself daily. It is only if you do this that you are considered worthy of Jesus.

How does denying myself keep me from sinning?

2 Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Denial of self is part of the divine nature of those who are born again. They do not fall into the various lusts of sin.

What evidence is in the bible that says I can go without sin?

God told Cain that he could rule over sin even though Cain didn't have the Holy Spirit.

If thou doest well , shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well , sin lieth at the door . And unto thee [shall be] his desire , and thou shalt rule over him.

Cain gave in and sinned and now it is known as 'the way of Cain'.

When Jesus spoke to people about their sin he never gave room for additional sin.

Jhn 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Jhn 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

In case you wonder what sin no more means here. It is the same as what Jesus said to the fig tree he cursed about never bearing fruit again.

OSAS is about completely polluting the word of God by twisting it to fit the doctrine.

In several places in the NT it states that you must forgive everyone their trespasses or the Father in heaven will not forgive yours. This is explained away by 'adding' to the word of God and saying that it only applies to relational forgiveness and not judicial. Lies.

The bible teaches that you must obey Jesus to receive eternal life. How can one reconcile that with OSAS?

Jesus commanded that we love one another as he loved us.
Jesus commanded that we not divorce our wives.
Jesus commanded to give to them that ask of thee.
Jesus commanded to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
Jesus commanded to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Jesus commanded to teach them all things whatsoever he had commanded.
Jesus commanded we make no oaths.
Jesus commanded that we do not resist evil but turn the other cheek.
Jesus commanded that we love our enemies.
Jesus commanded that we be perfect like the Father.
Jesus commanded that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us.

Jesus was always commanding people with authority.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Do we have to obey Jesus to have eternal life?

And what about this whole non sinning business? I have heard it said that since Jesus was God he is the only one who is capable of living a life completely free from sin. It is said that Jesus is 100% man and 100% God. This too is heresy punishable by eternal death. Jesus was just a man like you and me as pertaining to having a fleshly body. He received the Holy Spirit and Power around 30 years old when he was baptized and began his ministry. You and I are just as capable of not sinning as Jesus was while he walked the earth.

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. lk 6:40

It says you can be just like Jesus here and now.

If we sin everyday, then why are we supposed to throw sinners out of the church 1 Cor 5? Why are we supposed to rebuke them that sin publicly? 1 Ti 5:20. Why are we supposed to break fellowship with them that sin Rom 16:17?

Now, I don't want anyone to confuse what I am saying here to mean that it is impossible to sin. There is a big difference between being able not to sin and being unable to sin.

Take Peter for example and his sin of hypocrisy. He sinned out of fear of the circumcision. Paul seeing his error rebuked his sin openly just as we are supposed to do. In his rebuke he states:

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid Gal 2

He is plainly saying we are not to be found sinners.

Also God has said that we have no excuse if we sin.

1Cr 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

You have everything you need to not sin...no excuses.

When it comes to defending the doctrine of "I'm a sinner who cannot stop sinning thank God for OSAS", 1 John is quoted without fail.

To this I say. You error not knowing the scriptures. Keep verses within their context unless they truly are universal truths that apply in any situation. Lets keep them in context.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

He is saying that the following verses are part of the message that was heard that they also declare. The Gospel message. God is light - no darkness period.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

If we claim to have believed the Gospel but continue in a sinful lifestyle we are liars.

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we stop sinning it causes us to have fellowship with everyone who doesn't sin which is condition that must be met to receive the cleansing power of the blood of Christ.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we claim that sin does not dwell in our mortal bodies were liars.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The next logical step is to address confessing sin since one has admitted having sin in the body. The promise from this verse is to cleanse from unrighteousness which is conditional upon confession and confession means that you say the same thing about the sin and therefore stop doing it.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

This actually is interpreted right but would be clearer from the Greek to say if we say that we have never sinned. This doesn't imply in any way that one cannot go without sin in there lives.

So there we have it within the context. Stop using verse 9 to say that Jesus will forgive whatever you do whenever you do it because you are OSAS. Because that is a lie. verse 9 pertains to receiving the gospel. Same with 10. Stop telling people you cannot help but sin because that is what sinners do. If you still have that problem you need to talk to Peter. "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?". "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;"

Last but not least, we need to address the advocate clause.

The first part is important, don't miss it.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

John expects them not to sin.

And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

This is absolutely true. If you sin you have an advocate with the Father in heaven. Once again a few things need to be considered here. Who is John writing to? There is no direct address to say who but there are things within the text that show that he is addressing different 'types' of people as he writes. We have 'little children', 'young men' and 'fathers'. Each would lend to the understanding of maturity level in Christ. When addressing little children he speaks of sin but not the other two. They have overcome the wicked one etc. This would be a picture of Eph 4 where pastors and teachers are given for the perfecting of the saints till all come in the unity of the faith unto a perfect man, unto the fullness of the stature in Christ Jesus. The fathers pictured here would be like Paul who claims to have begotten Corinth with the gospel.

For you who think we continue to sin regularly because we are sinners, I suggest you think this again. We need to stop being children and become men.

I could go on finding more and more support for the claim that you have absolutely no excuse whatsoever if you sin, but if you won't believe what has already been said, you won't believe even if Jesus came to tell you himself. Instead you would probably crucify him.

Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.

Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

1 Ti 5:20. Why are we supposed to break fellowship with them that sin Rom 16:17?

gdemoss,
Let's make this perfectly clear, you are saying my friend that:

YOU GDEMOSS CAN NOT AND DO NOT SIN? A simple yes or no please.

Entrapment begins with a simple yes or no that is demanded by the one who wishes to trap a person up in there words. It is evil to demand such things.

It was a simple question my friend, Do you beleive you can sin? And you call me Evil?...Wow...you are incredible!!

You go to no end to avoid the truth and resort again to false accusations again and condem!
I have posted this before and I will post in again:

Matthew 7

Judging Others

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

Do not judge, or you too will be judged....Amen to that truth. I will not judge you by dragging you out and stoning you for your heresy but yet will judge you worthy of my longsuffering while I plead with you to see the truth.

I will however judge you by speaking the truth about you in love like my savior did for those evil Pharisees in Matthew 23.

What I will not do is sin by not doing the good that I should do. Even you are worthy of coming to the knowledge of the truth and receiving salvation. I will not hesitate to tell you to get behind me Satan when it is his words spewing out of your mouth.

People don't like to hear the truth unless they are of the truth. This is why all who are willing to live Godly in Christ Jesus suffer persecution. They are the light of the world exposing darkness such as ecumenism.

I will leave judgement up to God who will judge righteously according to every mans deeds. I will, however, judge right doctrine from false doctrine and mark them who walk accordingly in a public manner after offering them repentance to acknowledging the truth.

I will continue to pray for you, the one who sarcastically refers to me as friend.

Gary
