And let's consider another....
St. John 5: 37 – And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.
Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
But we know that Adam and Eve heard God in the garden....
Gen.3
[
9] And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
[
10] And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
[
11] And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
[
12] And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
[
13] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
So.....did Jesus lie? No way. He CANNOT lie!
Or consider this......
John 5
[46]
Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
Did Jesus make a mistake here also?
Because we have the following scriptures that CANNOT be ignored.....
Exd. 24
[9] Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
[10] And they
saw the God of Israel: and
there was under his
feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in
his clearness.
[11] And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his
hand:
also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
Above it says that at least 70 people saw the God of Israel.
Do you think maybe Jesus forgot about this meal? Of course not!
So since we know that Jesus cannot lie, nor is he capable of making mistakes...then WHO was the God that Adam and Eve heard in the garden AND who was the God that the 70 elders saw and ate and drank with if, as Jesus tells us, NO MAN has seen or heard God the Father?
It must have been THIS God;
John 1
[
1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[
2] The same was in the beginning with God.
It MUST have been the God that was called the Word, who was also a God, and was with ANOTHER God in the beginning.
And it was this God that was called the WORD that did the following;
1Cor.10
[
1] Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
[
2] And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
[
3] And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
[
4] And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
So it was really Jesus, also known as the Word, who, as John tells us, was also a God, that fed the nation of Israel spiritual food and followed them.
Now let's read what the God of the OT said would happen to Him;
Zech.12
[10] And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,….
Well now...the God speaking above on the OT said at some point they would look upon Him that they pierced. And as we know that was also Jesus!
And now let's read of a conversation that Abraham had with the God of the OT, then read who THAT person was that Abraham spoke with;
Gen.18
[24] Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
[25] That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
Now let’s find out who it is that will judge “…all the earth…“, and who gave him the authority. Let us go to St. John and read what Jesus has to say on the matter.
St.
John 5
[22] For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son;
[26] For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given unto the Son to have life in himself.
[27] And hath given him authority to execute judgement also, because he is the Son of man.
So Jesus, Moses or ALL of those that wrote the bible were NOT lying. ALL of God's words are true.
It was Jesus that was the God of the OT and NOT the one that became known as God the Father.
Because Jesus said that NO MAN has EVER seen or heard God the Father!
