Were Adam & Eve meant to live in the Garden of Eden....

Wow!!! See all kind of theology and terms in explaining the word of God.........................
Hm... can't imagine how people devote hours in typing such things...............................
As far as those whom their post I've read which are basic truth, I can only say to such people that argument or debates doesn't produce the truth. Remember that when the Lord taught the little you now know, He did not teach you by way of arguments or debate so also the more you try to debates or argue in order to pass these truth to other, it becomes a stumbling blocks. "When people are not ready to receive the truth do not throw your pearl before the swine", more also it takes Christ only to reveal Himself to anyone.

As far as the Garden of Eden is concerning I can only say these;
The Garden of Eden was the Will of God for Adam and Eve.
The Garden of Eden was the Place where God commune with them.
The Garden of Eden was a place of God throne here on earth between Him and Mankind.

I will explain more later..

There is no doubt that the "Garden of Eden" was the place where Adam and Eve communed with the Lord. Adam walked with the Lord there, but now we are God's garden. We are his husbandry and he is the gardener. Now Lord now walks "inside" us, not external, but internal. :)

The best quote possibly of the whole thread besides the inquiry of the original post. Well said my brother, well said.

In terms of the old earth vs young earth debate take a look at this debate. The good thing about it is that it is not
a Christian vs Atheist debate, it is two professed Christians debating. I believe you will be blessed if you approach
it with a relatively open mind. Not totally open, meaning drop all of your convictions, but open meaning, don't automatically
discredit any of the information before you have even heard of thought about it.

Stay blessed all.

Here is
I have 2 questions,

First one: lets say adam and eve never ate the forbidden fruit, were they meant to live in the Garden of Eden forever and never leave?

and the second is: why did God name His garden the Garden of Eden? did God even name it?
my two bits:
  • If they had not disobeyed their only commandment, we could have all been there still! Can you imagine living is a paradise with only one commandment?
  • For me and, I know many will disagree, but they are one of the reasons I believe in free will choice!

Everything we have done as humans throughout our existence is but training for the eternal. Even though we were "alive" in Eden, we were not eternal without the tree of life. We were made for something truly amazing, what it is, is hidden from me, but I know in my heart its amazing. Just like this earth beneath our feet, I believe our garden experience would have ended eventually.
