prayer to overcome busyness

Things are going to be very busy for me this month, especially this week, and I just wanted extra prayer that these things, while good, don't take the place of what's important: my relationship with Jesus and my family.

I am divorced, and I share custody of my two boys with my ex. I have them for one week, and he has them for one week, then back to me. I have a full time job, as the secretary of my church, which I love, but that left me with a lot of empty time on my hands when my boys weren't around. So I have started doing extra things to stay busy, and I am now finding that I am getting too busy. At least I am right now.

For example, this week, I have my boys. I work all week from 9-4. I also clean the church, which is an extra 8 hours throughout the week (after work). I babysit on Tuesday evenings. We have a board meeting on Wednesday night. Thursday, I had previously signed us up for a family Christmas portrait. Friday, I will be on the tv news, and then I will need to try to finish the cleaning, because on Saturday, we are having a Coat Giveaway for our community, of which I am in charge of.
Throughout the rest of December, I have started helping in our children's ministries, one of our greeters is having surgery so I am covering for her, we have Christmas dinners to shop for and then give out, our church does a Live Nativity the two days before Christmas.

I am not complaining, and no, it's normally not this crazy. I am not trying to get out of anything, I just want prayers for extra strength. And I also don't want these 'good deeds' to change things between me and my Savior. I want to stay humbled before Him and others.
Things will slow down after Christmas, after this week even, but I did not realize until yesterday, as I was telling my boys what the schedule was for this week, when I realized that there was sooo much. A main concern is for me to spend quality time with my boys too, because next week, I won't see them.

Thanks for your prayers, and if you want to tell me to slow things down, go ahead, but I've already been telling myself to finish these commitments and then back off a bit. I love what I do and I love that many of these things make a difference and show the love of our God to our area. But we all know the Mary and Martha Busyness story, don't we?!
Thanks for your encouragement. And thank God for Talk Jesus!!

A major league baseball pitcher once pitched a game when the temperature was over a hundred degrees. He lost several pounds as a result of his afternoon exertion. At one stage of the game his energy sagged. His method for restoring his strength was unique. He simply repeated a passage from the old testament,"But they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."Isaiah 40:31 he referred it to as a powerful energy producing thought. He said that reciting the verse actually gave him a renewal of strength so that he was able to complete the game with extra energy to spare. Remember the verse sister will pray for you.

..........Praise the Lord... God bless You Sister Ephesians4_23.. May the Lord strengthen you really till finishing all these.

At times when i'm in that situation these words compel me to stretch out all my strength..

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Isaiah 62:6-7

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7

Heaven Father, in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I lift you up our dear sister in your name needing an extra measure of your grace and strength Lord, for all the commitments she has these days. I pray, gird her O Lord with your strength and make her way perfect for the glory of your name. Continue to let her be satisfied with the works of her hands. Prosper her Lord, in everything she do. Glorify thy name. Bless her time with her children i pray. Let your glory shine in her life in all these commitments she has. Oh Lord, we thank you for whatever we ask in thy name, you will give us and the Heavenly Father is glorified in us. We give praise Lord. In Jesus name. Amen

God bless you richly sister ephesians4_23..

Bless you sister ephesians4_23 and your boys... bless you in Jesus... and bless you again ><>

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it,
do not cease to pray for you,
and to desire that ye might be filled
with the knowledge of His will
in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,

being fruitful in every good work,

and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Strengthened with all might,

according to His glorious power,
unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Giving thanks unto the Father,
which hath made us meet to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through His blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of every creature:

For by Him were all things created,
that are in heaven,
and that are in earth,
visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones,
or dominions,
or principalities,
or powers:

all things were created by Him, and for Him:

And He is before all things,
and by Him all things consist.
And He is the head of the body,
the church: who is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead;

that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Colossians 1:9-18

O yes, Lord.. O yes!

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27: 13-14
