Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult! Psalm 64:10 ESV
When God says you can rejoice in Him and take refuge in Him, that’s exactly what He means. No matter how you feel today, God loves you and always will. He is always near enough that you can run to Him whenever you need shelter from life’s storms.
The enemy likes to confuse you by telling you that God isn’t really there for you, that He has left you alone to fend for yourself. The devil likes to skip close to you and tell you that God is too far away to hear you or comfort you. But the Bible says otherwise.
Believe that God’s love for you doesn’t change. Take refuge in Him and stay connected to His Word. See the Bible as His letter to you. God’s written Word says that He takes care of His people when they are going through difficult times. In the middle of life’s storms, God always stands up for His children and protects them.
So rejoice in the Lord—and always remember that you can run to Him, your place of refuge, when life is tough and you don’t know what to do.
Prayer: Lord, sometimes it’s hard to believe that You really care about what I’m going through. Help me remember that You love me. Thank You for this new day. Stay close to me and be my refuge and strength.
