YOUR A CHRISTIAN IF? A HYPOCRITE IF NOT
Heb 3:5-6
5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,
6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
I Jn 5:14
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Rom 6:7-10
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
Heb 3:6
6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
John 8:31
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
John 15:7
7"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Eph 4:21
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
I Jn 1:8-10
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
I Jn 2:24
24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
John 15:10-14
10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
11 "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
14 "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
II Jn 1:9-11
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
I Jn 2:28-29
28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
I Jn 2:4
4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
I Jn 2:3
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
I Jn 2:5
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
Mark 9:23
23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
Mark 8:34-35
34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
35 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
John 13:37-38
37 Peter said to Him, "Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake."
38 Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.
Matt 5:20
20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Mark 7:5-7
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"
6 He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
7 And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
Mark 7:14-16
14 When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear Me, everyone, and understand:
15 "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.
16 "If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Mark 7:21-23
21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
Eph 4:21
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Col 1:23
23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
1 Pet 2:3
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Gal 6:7
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Matt 12:33-34
33 "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
34 "Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matt 12:36-37
36 "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
37 "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
I Jn 4:2
2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
I Jn 4:15
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
(NKJ)

1 Cor 15:1-2
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(KJV)

2 Cor 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Rom 6:5
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
(NKJ)

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

The only mark of a true "Born Again" Christian is having the Holy Spirit in you. If you do not have this, then all of the scriptures that you quoted are a mute point!

Jesus is our Judge.
Rom.8

they are the sons of GOD.

but you have received the Spirit of adoption,
whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

  • You are so right
  • So many want to associate their own works to prove that they are saved.
  • I think many don't understand that to God , good works are the same a fruits.
  • John 15:5......you can't do anything worthy of God, unless you have Christ in you. With Christ in you, it is his fruits that you bear and not yours.
  • I think that it is often mis-understood, that with Christ in you, one of the first fruits in you or "works", is what you have said:" No man has to tell us"....we just know!!!

  • Short on knowledge , according to you, now that is arrogance! I believe I will gladly leave that judgement up to God.
  • I tell you what, let's end this once and for all. Maybe I have understood you wrong. I will ask 2 questions and answer them. Then if you , with all your vast knowledge will also answer, maybe then can put a rest to this back and forth.
  • Here goes:

  1. Do you believe God is soveriegn and independent in perfect power from everyone else. I say yes, what you say?
  2. To God goes all the glory for our being and salvation. I say yes, what you say.
  3. A simple yes or no to each question please!

Hello Squeaky.

There seems to be a problem with what you believe Squeaky, you said the following.
xxx There are many If's in the bible. And they are all important. Confess means to agree fully.

If you believe that Jesus is someone other than the Son of God then you cant confess.

You said Squeaky, 'If you think Jesus is God then you cant confess'.

The deity of the Christ is one of the deeper and profound truths that the scripture declares!

Jesus is most certainly God Himself, Jesus humbled Himself and then took on our human likeness.

Philippians 2
6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.

Jesus 'existed in the form of God', Jesus did not retain His equality with God but gave it up.

Before I proceed any further Squeaky, I need to know whether you made a simple mistake, or you
do really believe that Jesus is not God Himself.

I said
Its a deep and profound lie. The truth is right there in the Word. There is nothing hidden. Jesus is the Son of God. You don't follow the rules of believing. Don't think beyond what is written. And don't add one thing to it or take one thing away from it. Trinity IS NOT in the Word. Deity IS NOT in the Word. God the Son IS NOT in the Word. God the Holy Spirit IS NOT in the Word. Deep and profound and no one can know the deeper things of God is a trick of the devil.

Mark 4:22-23
22 "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
23 "If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
(NKJ)
1 Cor 4:6
6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.
(NKJ)
Rev 22:18-19
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Hello Squeaky.

I agree with what you wrote above, though the true identity of the messiah was hidden all the way
through the Old Testament. Very few people can navigate their way through the scripture and see
the deepest facets of the profound revelation of the Christ.

You may have been taught an interpretation that is unsound and I do not say that lightly. Please read the
following verses and you tell me what you think these verses are saying. Please also pay extra special
attention to these two titles 'King of kings' and 'Lord of Lords' in these verses.

1 Timothy 6 (NKJV)
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings
and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom
no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Well this is most certainly Almighty God, the 'King of Kings' is the distinctive title.

Revelation 17 (NASB)
14 These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords
and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.

This also is the one and only, God Almighty, because He possesses the distinctive title 'King of Kings'.

Revelation 19 (NASB)
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many
diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a
robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a
sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and
He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He
has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

I said
Lord and God are the highest spiritual titles of authority. In the old testament the Father held them both LORD and God. In the new testament Jesus proved Himself to God the Father and the Father gave Jesus the title of Lord(Not LORD) . God is the highest spiritual title of authority over the universe. Lord is the highest spiritual title over the earth.

John 10:34-35
34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '?
35 "If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
(NKJ)
1 Cor 8:5-6
5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),
6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
(NKJ)
When Jesus returns at His second coming. He will carry the title of “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS

Hello Squeaky.

The identity of the God in the Old Testament.

Here Squeaky, is a vision of God as seen by the prophet Ezekiel. Please read these lines
very carefully and note the appearance of God, this is important.

Ezekiel 1
26 Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne,
like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with
the appearance of a man.

The one on the throne is Jehovah and His appearance is that of a man!

Ezekiel 8

2 Then I looked, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of a man; from His loins and downward
there was the appearance of fire, and from His loins and upward the appearance of brightness, like
the appearance of glowing metal.

Again Jehovah has the appearance of a man.

Daniel 10
6 His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like
flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his
words like the sound of a tumult.18 Then this one with human appearance touched me again
and strengthened me.

Jehovah above has a human form again, and on and on it goes Squeaky.

Have you joined the dots yet Squeaky.

You were created in the image of Jehovah, and the visions of Jehovah are a human form.
How do we know this Squeaky, because there are frequent visions and appearances of
Jehovah through the Old Testament. So your human form is a copy of Jehovah's appearance.
So Jehovah has a human appearance in the Old testament and Jehovah also has a human
appearance in the New testament. Join the dots Squeaky.

8 Being found in appearance as a man He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the
point of death, even death on a cross (stake).

Same guy in the Old and the New Testaments Squeaky

The God of the Old Testament is Jesus.

Matthew 2
11 After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground
and worshiped Him.

Only God can be worshiped and Jesus was worshiped frequently in the New Testament.

Hebrews 1:6
And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, And let all the angels of God
worship Him.

Jesus is worshiped by the angels in heaven, as well as the apostles, the magi and others.

There is no doubt we were created in the image of Jehovah, for Jehovah's image is human like.
You can worship Jesus because He is the one with the human appearance, the Almighty God.

I said
There are so many things wrong with that. Let me start with this. Anyone who tries to be justified in what they claim by using the old testament and it isn't in the new testament has fallen from grace. Your evidence doesn't hold. Because of the veil over the old testament. I will never take evidence from the old testament and try to override the new testament.

Gal 5:4
4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
(NKJ)
The new testament says there is a veil over the old testament that remains to this day.

2 Cor 3:14-15
14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.
(NKJ)
The old testament spoke of Moses seeing God in the burning bush. In the new testament is says it was an angel in the bush.

Acts 7:29-30
29 "Then, at this saying, Moses fled and became a dweller in the land of Midian, where he had two sons.
30 "And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai.
(NKJ)
Acts 7:35
35 "This Moses whom they rejected, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.
(NKJ)

In the new testament we see that no one has seen God nor heard His voice.

John 5:37
37 "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.
