"And when he came near the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; she was a widow. When the LOrd saw her he had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep"
Then he came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And he said "Young man I say to you arise". So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And he presented him to his mother". Luke7:12-15.
Here is an example of Christ's consistancy from Luke's gospel, when Jesus raised a young man from the dead in the village of Nain.
We read that Jesus had compassion on the weeping mother. In the same region the greatprophets Elijah and Elisha has both also raised mothers sons from the dead. That was eight hundred years before.
Notice this, in each case the bible says that Elijah and Elisha gave the sons back to their mothers......and Jesus did exactly the same. He raised the young man from death and gave him back to his mother.
Two millennia have not made any difference to his power or compassion! Gereration after generation have experienced Christ's healing touch. WE recognise his fingerprints his way of working. He is like the noonday sun and never switches off. His powerful sunlight kills the virus of evil.
Two millennia have passed since he left the earth and ascended back to the Father.. but that makes no difference to his power or compassion in your life today....or in mine. Our healing is based on his resurrection power.
