When your faith feels shaky (1)

'...if you...believe in your heart...you will be saved.' Romans 10:9

The police, the army, even the Royal family ride them; horses that is. Probably, because they march powerfully, or move gracefully, or trot with an air of regality. But have you ever seen an ickle baby horse learn to walk? Knees buckling, legs shaking; it's hardly a picture of power or grace. They just haven't worked out how to control their muscles yet, and it can be like that with our faith.

As a baby Christian sometimes we need time to get used to our 'faith-legs'. New Christians might find themselves wondering 'why God doesn't seem to talk to them like He seems to talk to others', or they may feel intimidated that they could never live a life like a well-seasoned Christian. If this is you, if you're new to this faith stuff, and you're feeling pretty shaky in it, don't worry, you're not alone; everybody takes time to find their faith legs.

A good place to start when you're not 'feeling it' is back to the basics. The Bible says: 'If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.' It's that simple. So, you've got your doubts about this or that, you're feeling unsure or unworthy, but the bottom line is you're saved. Actually, faith is the simplest, plainest thing in the world...it's simply believing God.'

You are awesome ladylovesjesus!!!

(((((((((((LADYLOVESJESUS))))))))

HOW VERY RIGHT ON YOU ARE WITH THIS POST!!!!!!
May I add this even if we are NOT baby Christians the trials of this world can sure cause our faith to become shaky at times, after all we are human amen???

Having said that, what a wonderful observation on your part sister, we do need to confess it with our mouth, even if we may not feel it inside, and eventually the 2 will catch up with each other :)

God Bless you for making this wise point here :)

Love in Christ
Mama Joyce
