The secret - revealed

'Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead.' Philippians 2:4

Do you want to know what God's plan for your life is, in one sentence? OK, here it is: God wants to make you a channel through which His blessings flow to others. That's it. Finito. What more do you need to know? Well, most people aren't satisfied with just knowing that. We're curious; we want to ask more questions, the most obvious one being: 'How?' God's cool with us asking those sort of questions because questioning is a great way to get to know Him better. King David asked those kinds of questions a lot, 'Show me your ways, O Lord...' (Psalm 24:4).

When we ask God questions, He is less concerned with the question and more concerned with the attitude with which we ask it. When we read about the life of Jesus in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John we see that He was always being asked questions, some easy, some hard. The way He responded very often depended on what was in the heart of the one doing the asking.

Were they after a Word to help them get ahead or were they wanting to learn about how to truly live for God? So what's in your heart today? Are you ready for God to show you His ways; that always lead to others being blessed, or are you secretly hoping that you'll be able to keep the blessing for yourself?

Interesting post , Good one too.

We just studied about Jesus, and the Samaritan woman, at the well.
The different attitudes of the woman ,at first, and Jesus, and then the attitude of the disciples and Jesus.
The woman was suspicious at first,and a bit cool,and disrespectful, but Jesus, patient and kind drew her into a relationship with him.
The disciples according to custom would not have spoken to her, and surprised Jesus was.

I have had like treatment in my life, maybe you have too, where Jesus was teaching me a truth, and when I asked for prayer in a matter, I was abandoned, rebuked, and stoned verbally.
To often I see wounded spirits, hurting, and seeking hearts, cast aside by harsh words where Jesus looked beyond my faults, and saw my need.
I see an example there that we should strive to imitate, dont you?
