The roller-coaster ride of life (5)
'He has made everything appropriate in its time...' Ecclesiastes 3:11
You'd be a bit 'wisdomly-challenged' to un-strap yourself from the safety rails of a rollercoaster whilst it was still 200 feet in the air. Sure, your digestive system may be telling you to get off the ride, but you can't bail out mid-ride, can you? Well ditto to your faith life. Just because you're feeling a bit sick to the stomach of Church, or other Christians make you want to wretch, you'd be a little bit dumb to bail out on God now.
You might want to give up God, but God won't give up on you. He promises, He'll '...never leave you nor forsake you [so]...do not be discouraged' (Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV). You might not have faith in God, but God is still faithful to you.
His Word says, 'If we believe not, he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself' (2 Timothy 2:13 KJV). God will get you through it and out of it. He promises us an exit. He 'will with the [testing]...make a way to escape, that ye [might] be able to bear it' (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV). You see bad; God makes good. He's producing good in all your circumstances. 'And we know that all things work together for good to them...who are the called...' (Romans 8:28 KJV). God puts pits and peaks together, and out comes your good. So stay strapped in for the ride!
