Taking responsibility (1)

'Much is required from those to whom much is given.' LUKE2:48

Responsibility is a word many of us don't like. When you're young, free and single often the last thing you want is a bunch of stuff you HAVE to do, places you HAVE to go and things you HAVE to face up to. You want to do WHAT you want, go WHERE you want and not have to give a second thought to anyone else! But guess what, life's not like that. Like it or not, you do have responsibilities.

You're responsible for your own behaviour, for your language, for your school work, for making the right decisions, for the way you treat people, and that's just a few examples! When you have responsibilities, all the excuses in the world won't let you off the hook. You can blame others and shout and get mad and refuse to accept responsibility all you want, it won't make the smallest difference.

Your problem isn't your friends, or your job, or your girlfriend, or your parents or even the government!. Be honest, your biggest challenge in life is you. You may feel hard done by or picked on but if your life's not going the way you want it to, you are responsible for changing it, and God will help you if you turn to Him. But you must want to change, decide to change, and work each day toward that end.

This is so true and I can add nothing except say thanks for bringing this subject to TJ, we will all benefit from it.:girl_hug:
