Stuff it!
'...where your treasure is, there your heart will be...' Matthew 6:21
Stuff. It comes in all shapes and sizes. Some stuff is nice and shiny and costs a bit of that papery stuff. Some stuff is small and compact and makes clever bleeping noises. Some stuff is old, very old, and that's what makes it collectable. Some stuff we might love. Some stuff other people might love so they steal it. Some countries have better stuff. Some countries fight other countries for this better stuff. Some stuff lands people behind bars. Some stuff costs people their lives. But its all just 'stuff'; do you get it?
Jesus said some pretty famous stuff on the subject of 'stuff', only He substituted the word for 'treasure'. Listen: '"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"' (Matthew 6:19-21 NIV).
Thing is, whatever 'stuff' you're stacking your chips on, it had better be worth it. You're not so thick as to believe all the answers are found in bright, shiny, bleeping, collectable stuff are you? You know the stuff that really matters is the God stuff, the people stuff, the love stuff. As for the rest of it, well, you can stuff it!
