'I came to give life; life in all its fullness' JOHN 10:10
Just do it. It's the real thing. I'm loving it! We live in a world of strap lines. But what was the original strap line? Well if you look in Genesis, chapter 1, you might say, It's all good!
Sadly another strap line soon appears on the scene, You will be like God. This is the first lie ever recorded, it's the one used by the serpent to con Eve into thinking her and her husband could make up their own set of rules to live by.
And you know, he's still pushing the same line. You hear it in comments like: "It's OK to do what you like as long as it doesn't hurt anyone." But we all know that in reality the kind of actions that flow from that mindset do end up hurting people - mostly the people who are living by that strap line.
And what about the classic "Try anything once." Well where is a statement like that gonna get you? OK, if your parents wrapped you up in cotton wool for the first 15 years of your life maybe you're feeling like you wanna live a bit but does that mean 'Anything goes?'
It's not rocket science to work out where you'll end up with that life strap line. So if you really want a strap line for life why not try this one for size; 'I came to give life; life in all its fullness'.
