Star Quality
'Those who turn many to righteousness [shall shine] like the stars forever' DANIEL 12:3
Why is it we all love to show off; whether it's lads talking about football like they personally taught Cristiano everything he knows, or the ladies practicing their own Leona-like warbles from their Sunday morning pews? Could it be that somewhere built within our biology God has placed a desire for significance?
What does every X-factor wannabe crave? A record deal? Partly. A millionaire lifestyle? Probably. To make a name for themselves? Definitely. We all want to be a legend in our own lunch-hour because God has built us for great things. He doesn't want us to settle for an average existence. He made us to make our own mark on eternity. So, what does that mean? Are we all to place ourselves up for public humiliation in Simon Cowell's firing line? Well, no. To really place your own personal print on history, you need to explore all that God has placed inside you.
Has He given you the gift of a gob? Maybe you're a born evangelist. Do you hate it when people hate each other? Maybe you're destined to be a star peace-maker. Do people seem to look up to you? Maybe you're here to role-model a Godly life-style to others. The point is: whatever weird and wonderful concoction of gifts and talents bubble inside of you, well they bubble for a reason. That reason is to shine like God's star in your generation.
