Spiders (3) - Holy hairy legs
'THE SPIDER SKILLFULLY GRASPS WITH ITS HANDS, AND IS IN KINGS' PALACES.' PROVERBS 30:28
There are thousands of varieties of spiders all specialised in different ways. Some of them are great hunters. Weird as it sounds, it's their hairy legs rather than their eyes that help!
They have super-sensitive hair follicles, so they can feel everything that's going on around them. We're kind of similar; not that we all have super-sensitive hairy legs (although some of us might!), but we have the Holy Spirit to help us see what's going on around us. We can 'see' more by the Spirit than we can with our natural eyes.
There may be times when everything around looks hopeless, but God shows you the way; so never give up. 'You have the gift that the Holy One gave you, so you all know the truth' (1 John 2:20 NCV).
When you're hanging out with your mates and they're doing stuff you're not sure about, you'll know in your heart if it's wrong.
'Christ gave you the Holy Spirit and He lives in you. You do not need anyone to teach you. The Holy Spirit is able to teach you all things. What He teaches you is truth and not a lie. Live by the help of Jesus as the Holy Spirit has taught you' (1 John 2:27 NLT). The way to make the most of life is to stay close to God. So go on; grow yourself some holy hairy legs!
