Have you ever seen a small child playing hide and seek? They cover their eyes and, because they can't see you, they believe you can't see them. It's funny to watch; but it's not so funny for us when we act like that towards God: If I believe God doesn't exist, then He will disappear! If I don't talk to God then He'll ignore me! If I do something wrong in secret, He'll never know! If I don't go to church, God won't find me!
Psalm 139 says: 'Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it; Lord ... I can never get away from your presence! ... even in darkness I cannot hide from you ...' It doesn't matter how much we stand in the middle of the room hands over our eyes, saying 'God can't find me, He doesn't even exist!' It won't change the fact that He's right beside you, He does exist. He knows exactly where you are; in fact there's nowhere you can go where God won't be.
Here are three 'omni's' you should know about God: Omniscience; He knows everything about you. Omnipresence; He goes everywhere with you. Omnipotence; He is infinitely powerful, enough to meet your every need. Don't try and run from God but live knowing His omni-ness in your life!
