Prepared, planted, placed, pruned, prospered (3)
'God planted a garden...there He put the man whom He had formed.' GENESIS 2:8
Do your parents ever watch 'Location Location Location' on Channel 4? In the programme, a woman with frilly blouses and a really tall bloke help people find their perfect home in the perfect location! Notice in the verse, God placed the man in the garden, 'eastward in Eden' (Genesis 2:8 NKJV). It's not enough to be in the garden, you've got to be in the right location.
That doesn't have to mean the school you go to or the house you live in (those things might be out of your control) but it might mean what group of mates you hang out with, or if you join the worship team at church, or if sign up for that mission week. God has a plan so ask Him to place you in the locations, relationships and opportunities that are perfect for you.
Remember, God doesn't want to dump you, drop you or shove you somewhere, He wants to place you. Ever played chess with someone who spends ages thinking about his or her next move? They pick up the queen slowly place it on a square, keep their finger on for a moment and then finally sit back. It was thought through- it was placed! God knows what He is doing! It's easy to drift into your future but instead go to God, who will place you. If He places you somewhere you know it's in the plan.
