NO TIME OFF!!!
'Be ready in season and out of season.' 2 Timothy 4:2
Have you thought about what job or career you're aiming for? Or what university or college you're going to go to? Whatever your options are you're probably not expecting to be doing it 24-7-365 - you need some time off in between all that work! Right?? Holiday time's great isn't it?
Taking time off from the humdrum routine of school, college, uni or work - we love it!! But God is quite clear that there's one thing that we should never take time off from and that's being a Christian. What!! No time off? - EXACTLY! Living as a child of God is 24/7 - no time off included.
God wants us to always be ready - not only speak to anyone who'll listen about Him, but also to show His love through what we do and what we say. That means being a Christian not just on a Sunday, but when you're at home....yes even when your little brother has just robbed your diary and blabbed it to mum, yes even at College when you discover someone's been spreading nasty rumours about you, yes even when your stuck behind that doddery old man in the queue at the shop.
God wants you always to be ready to let people know by your words and actions how much Jesus loves them. Remember being a Christian isn't a Sunday only commitment with the rest of the week off - it's every moment of every day.
