'What you say flows from what is in your heart ...' Luke 6:45
Let's start today being a little bit gross: let's talk about poo. Watch the TV programme 'You Are What You Eat' and you will know, thanks to Dr Gillian McKeith, that there is good poo and bad poo. She is famous for letting the world know that if you eat foods that are good for you, your poo will look and smell healthy, but if you eat foods that are bad for you, your poo will look and smell disgusting.
There's something freakishly appealing about the programme, when she asks her 'willing participants' to poo into a plastic box so she can see it and smell it. Yuck. Whatever you think about her and her methods, there's no denying she has a point; the only way to get good healthy stuff out of our bodies is to put good healthy stuff in. And guess what?
God tells us the same thing, only He says far more, He says, 'You are what you speak' and 'A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.

Feed your heart with God's word; 'Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful; showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way...' (2 Timothy 3:16). Good stuff in = good stuff out.
