Listen & Learn
'Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.' Matthew 11:29
Sometimes teachers get it wrong: The famous French sculptor Rodin was described by teachers as, 'the worst pupil in the school!' Albert Einstein's teacher described him as "mentally slow, unsociable and adrift forever in his foolish dreams." He was expelled! Thomas Edison, the guy who invented the light bulb had a teacher who said, 'he was too stupid to learn anything!' The famous opera singer Enrico's teacher said, 'he had no voice at all and could not sing!' Beethoven's teacher called him 'hopeless' as a composer. Miss Phillips, a teacher of Peter J Daniel, constantly said, "Peter. J. Daniel you're no good, you're a bad apple and you're never going to amount to anything."
Peter was totally illiterate until he was 26. Now he owns the street corners he used to fight on and published a book: Miss Phillips, You Were Wrong! Jesus is the greatest teacher of all, He never gets it wrong! He knows everything about you, He sees your potential, He never listens to what others say about you, He knows you!
Today He is saying, 'Hang out with Me, learn from Me! I'll show you how to get the best out of your life. Don't try and work things out on your own, don't try so hard! Walk with Me, work with Me; watch how I do it. Keep company with Me and I'll teach you the best way to live life!"
