He is your peace!
'WE WILL COME TO HIM AND MAKE OUR HOME WITH HIM...' JOHN 14:23
If you've given your heart to Jesus and you love Him, listen to what he says he'll do, "If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [put My teaching into practice]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.." You have the Prince of Peace living in your heart by the Holy Spirit.
Listen: 'Do not be anxious about anything.' (Phil 4:6 NIV) Paul made this statement because he knew that people get stressed and worried; but he also knew that they didn't have to. Why not?
Because he understood the power of having Jesus living inside! Paul had experienced the reality, that when things don't go according to plan, or if trouble comes to town, you can be at peace in your heart. Peace isn't a feeling, it's a person. And that person is Jesus.
So when things are getting stressful you don't have to light a scented candle and lie down in a deep bath to find peace; you just have to talk to Jesus (or talk to him in the bath and get the best of both!). Pray: 'Jesus, I feel stressed today and overwhelmed by what I need to do. Your Word says that You are my peace (Ephesians 2:14) so I trust in You today. Be all that I can't be. Thank You, Father.'
