GOT ENOUGH CREDIT???
'ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM' JAMES 2:23
Old Abe; He lived about 4000 years ago and was pretty comfy with his well-to-do family in a big buzzing city. One day he heard God calling him to pack his tent and sleeping bag and head off somewhere new. Cool! Except God didn't say where! But Abraham wasn't thick, he knew that searching for God's 'somewhere' was better than settling for the world's 'anywhere'. Abraham is an example of faith at its finest. The Bible calls believing what God says 'FAITH' and says Abraham's faith was so great that ;it was credited to him'.
Just like you need credit to make your mobile phone work, God accepted Abraham's faith as credit to make his life work. Are you feeling today as if your life is low on credit? Have you started accepting the world's 'anywhere' rather than God's 'somewhere'? Choose to believe God and take the example of Abe; his faith had to stand many tests:
a) when he left his family and country, he didn't have a clue where God was taking him
b) he wasn't a real hard nut but he fought the enemy to save his family
c) he believed for a son, even when he and his wife were well too old for all that making babies stuff! So keep believing God and don't run out of credit.
