God's cedars (2)
'The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it' ISAIAH 35:2
Secondly, Solomon used fire cedars (which shepherds used to make fires at night, because they ignited easily, and burned for ages).
At Pentecost God gathered 120 'fire cedars' in the upper room, and 'Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them' (Acts 2:2-4 NIV), and that day 3000 people became Christians; wow!
The church as we know it was born through fire, and is sustained by fire; we can't let the fire go out. God's fire leads to revival. We need to be spiritually hungry to be 'fire cedars' for the future revival. But be aware that you'll be a target for attack from the enemy when you are - revival is the devil's worst nightmare.
To be sure your fire always stays hot ask yourself these four questions regularly:
1) Am I living life the way the Bible reveals? (Isaiah 8:20 NLT). 2) Do my words and actions reveal Christ? (John 3:30 NIV).
3) Do I offer other people God's love, acceptance and forgiveness? (Acts 2:44-45 NCV).
4) Do I win souls and make disciples? (John 15:8 TM)
