God is chief (1)
'FROM HIM...ARE ALL THINGS.' ROMANS 11:36
Give credit where credit is due: God is chief.
1) Give credit due and your worry will flush down the U-bend. The Psalm songwriter didn't worry: 'Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life' (Psalm 23:6). With goodness and mercy embroidered on the heels of your K-Swiss, where can you go that you should be worried about?
2) Give credit due and you're excused from A-Level theology. The Apostle Paul is generally acknowledged as a qualified smarty pants, and even he says, 'How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out' (Romans 11:33 NKJV). Paul knew that God is Chief, some things are not worth stressing our brains over, we'll never work out why God says yes to some prayers and no to others, but we can trust He knows what He's doing.
3) Give credit due, it's all about Him, not you! Paul writes, 'From him and through him and to him are all things.' What a fancy way of saying: God is Chief! It's tempting to want to play god yourself, we all think we have our own lives sussed. We all get a bit stroppy with The Almighty from time to time, because he's not doing things our way. However, God sees the bigger picture through eternity's goggles, He's a bit more clued up than us, don't you think? Give credit due: God's chief.
