'We...are being transformed into his likeness.' 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18
Anyone who's ever thrown a sicky from school (tut tut) is bound to have seen the daytime TV classic, 'Cash in the Attic'. It's a show all about the junk people have gathering dust in the attic, that to the untrained eye, looks like rubbish until the experts give it a dust down and reveal priceless bits of treasure. Well God has more than a trained eye for hidden treasures. God's got a special heart for picking up the type of people who, seen through the world's eyes, seem as useless old junk. He just loves to dust down and polish up people so that their true worth can shine.
Whenever somebody disses you, whenever you get that nagging voice in your head saying you'll never mount to much, whenever the world seems to have overlooked you, don't fret, because it's God's opinion that counts.
Isaiah tells us that God sees us as '...precious and honoured in my sight'. Imagine that on your CV; the Lord God almighty, creator of everything says you are precious to Him. What more credentials for the job do you need? Maybe, it's about time you started to live it. Sadly, if you view yourself negatively, chances are people will talk down to you. But if you view yourself as God sees you, people will see somebody 'being transformed into his likeness'
