Don't walk backwards!
'By faith Abraham ... went out, not knowing where he was going' Hebrews 11:8
When Jennie and Matt got married, they had no idea where they were going for their honeymoon; because Matt's sister had offered to organise it for them as a wedding present. They didn't even know how long they'd be away for. Did they say, 'No thanks, it's alright sis, we'll do it'? Did they insist on knowing all the details before hand? Did they decide to stay at home instead, because at least then they'd know where they were going? No! Of course they didn't. They followed her instructions about what to pack for the holiday, waited to get the tickets at the wedding reception, and then flew off for an amazing time at an all-inclusive luxury hotel in the Dominican Republic.
It was more than they could have hoped for. They trusted that because she loved them, she'd send them somewhere nice. Because she knew them, she'd organise somewhere they could enjoy themselves, and have a great time. And she did.
How much more does God love and know you? So how much should you trust Him with where He wants to take you? You could stubbornly decide to stay exactly where you are and not move forwards, or even worse go backwards in your faith life, because the future is uncertain. But God has so much more planned for you, so follow old Abe's example, and trust that no matter what happens on the way, that God is taking you to a good place
